Why do armor plates in general provide so little health at basic they should be giving 100 or 120 hp. Right now a basic plate gives 65 hp while a basic AR pits out 30 dmg at 750rpm that little amount of amor does nothing to protect you I think it need to be increase, double its current hp value.

Also make different kinds of armor plates with different resistance some plates could have good resistance against shotguns and smg, other against splash other against explosions and more

yeah i agree, i had one on my heavy and it added something stupid on to it so its pretty much pointless, but then again what else are you going to put in there ?

the reppers on heavy are pointless at like 3hp/s on my heavy which has around 900 hp thats 5 mins to repair it, a little pointless

the only time i think they are useful is on my scout sniper suit, as most of the time it is OHK on scout suits with a sniper but with an armor plate when i get hit i usually have like 20% around left, just to run away and hide, obviously better snipers will kill me regardless

armor plates need a little adjusting. they slow you down 10% i believe, yet only give you a minimal increase.

only heavy suits should be using armor plates tbh, and they should make them like small tanks imo, just obviously able to be taken out with regular weapons. as it is now there isnt much benefit to getting proto armor plate, i have them and they dont give much advantage. they add 115 hp (not much tbh) and cut your movement by 15% i think.

Yerp. I like the MINOR buff they gave to them however its really only a Heavy that will use an armor plate, the slow amount on protos are too much to use. Hopefully like tanks, heavy's will have a lesser movement speed penalty when using armor plates.

agree too little drawback for the added HP
the movement penalty is fine as it might deter some peeps from dualtankin assault suits but the HP added is meh
i think to get the best out of armor plates it should add a % of armor to ur overall that way heavies get the most benefit while deterring scouts etc from abusing it

 idk just a thought

i thought this too add a percentage instead of a number, but it seems something better is coming

taken from new modules coming thread

Armor Hardeners - Reduces incoming damage to armor
Shield Hardeners - Reduces incoming damage to shields

if you have 2 low slots and armor plate and a resistance plate would be better

armor shouldnt be just limited to heavys to be used armored plates should be more useful for any one who doesnt want rely on speed, speed doesnt do much for my fighting style so i want survivability armor basic armor plates give like 65hp complexe gives 115 or around in there. that is way to little basic should give 100 to 115 and complexe should give 175 to 200.

dust badger wrote:the reppers on heavy are pointless at like 3hp/s on my heavy which has around 900 hp thats 5 mins to repair it, a little pointless Maybe, but look at it a different way:

 Armor plate = 65 hp
 Armor rep = 3 hp/s

So it only takes 22 seconds of repair time for your armor rep unit to outperform your armor plate, with no hit to movement speed. So if you get hit and survive 22 seconds (which isn't too uncommon, in my experience) you're better off with the repairer.

I still think both of these are kind of useless, though.
