smoke grenades would add a nice tactical edge , the ability to escape from a horde of tanks or , if i wana revive someone without getting my ass shot off 1st i could lay a smoke screen then move in to help , also on this issue some purchasable chaff or smoke for dropships would be pretty cool , thanks and keep up the good work ccp!! |

Sounds good but the only problem with that is that the enemy will still know where you're at because of the chevrons that are on screen anyway. Now when they introduce electronic warfare, and combine a smoke grenade w/ signature-cloaking nanites...now that would be dope. |

It would be nice to drop some cover around a supply depot long enough to switch to an AV fit without being killed by the circling DS. I would give up grenades for temp cover given the right circumstance. It's not like it last very long. Too, the enemy obviously knows you're in there SOMEWHERE, they just need to keep firing. Surely they will hit something. It's just enough to buy some time to switch up suits and or revive a team mate HOPEFULLY without such a quick death, though I do expect deaths to continue even through cover.

And I know I keep going back to Lost Planet 2 with my suggestions, but they have a something called a V-Device SP that gave radial invisibility to anyone on your team that was inside the bubble. So you get "cover" at the expense of movement. |

Aye, smoke grenades which also block out the chevrons would be fantastic because there is nothing worse than getting repeatedly killed by a tank or dropship because your team is too stupid to use AV weapons.
Plus it would give new players a good tool to use rather than getting battered and then rage quitting. |

They're called miasma grenades (more than just smoke) and they're coming. I believe the next update should have them. |

smoke grenades will be mostly useless since of the little triangle mark above ur head (just aim little below it) if ur spotted from another direction.
BUT
what WOULD be effective for cover : a flashbang grenade, blinding people nearby providing you the ability to escape or increase ur chanse to kill the opponed thats kicking ur butt.
