Currently, it's hard to run around with the current KBM implementation due to the turning cap rates, and invokes a lot of frustration for most KBM players when doing anything besides sniping.
Instead of having a turning rate cap, remove that and give turning an "turning speed aim wobble" that makes each dropsuit more inaccurate the more it goes over the dropsuit's turning value.
Scouts would have a quicker value, while Heavys would have a slower value, but each could turn at the same speed.. just not be accurate when firing as quickly.
This would mean you could circle strafe slowly alright, but if you did quick turns you'd be inaccurate in firing for a few milliseconds until the wobble goes away, kinda similar to sniping.
This would let KBM players turn and run around like a normal PC FPS, but yet keep the dropsuits unique, and make it so it doesn't turn into a mouse snap-turns always win over DS3 players.

it would have to be pretty heavy handed to work, and that would mean it would be no better than the current system |

I love this idea. It gimps KBM as needed and doesn't effect DS3. I wouldn't mind if KBM was effected slightly more by that mechanic over the DS3 |

it would have to screw yalls aim up pretty bad though to work as in it would be pointless to even try and fire while your messed up. as for how long it takes to correct your self it should take a bit longer to correct it self than for a ds3 player to 180. if not then a mouse could spin around and start firing if it didnt affect it enough then even some of those shots would hit giving the mouse a good start, and if it corrected it self before a ds3 could turn all the way around it would defeat the point. if it correct its self at the same time as it took a ds3 to turn that much then it would mean the mouse would have time to spot is target and using the insane aiming power to an advantage over ds3 |

I disagree. It could be similar to how aim is messed up when scoping with the sniper rifle. Some could say that is "heavy handed" but it's productive. It's not realistic to quickscope or spin 180 and keep rock steady aim. It takes a moment to get your bearing.
If a mouse or DS3 turned slower than their "wobble cap" then they'd aim rock steady.
But if you want to turn around and run, you can, you'd just have to wait a second or so for your aim to square up.. any minor aiming corrections under the "wobble cap" would aim just fine.
For DS3 you could either just leave their turning at the "wobble cap", or let them "wobble" too.. whichever the DS3 FPS people would prefer.
I, too, would accept a bit of a penalty for using the mouse also, if we could have a way to free KBM from the movement turn cap. |

The simple fact you could turn aroind faster and there for more time to spot target, and to turn and move would make mouse> controller. I just dont see how this could be fair if yall can turn faster than us you could abuse it |

Why couldn't DS3 players turn faster and be affected like the mouse in this system also?
Turning now is MUCH quicker on the DS3 than mouse.
What if movement with the mouse had a 10% longer "wobble" than the DS3?
Right now, I'd guess it takes 3x as long to do a 360 with a mouse than with the DS3. There needs to be a solution that brings things closer together. |

Or just make KBM like it is in every other game.
Kinda of tired of having to turn around slowly like some B-movie robot when I'm doing infantry combat. Even us old Mark 1.0 Homo Sapiens can turn around in a fraction of a second with no effort. If people are worried about that being unfair for the gamepad guys, give the option of setting the direction arrows to snap-turn you to facing that direction (the forward one being used for something else, obviously). I'm not trying to make KBM better than the gamepad in every way, I'm just hoping we can have combat that doesn't look like something out of BattleBots. |

I'd be fine with that too.
