Dactis wrote:Hi. I just got into the beta yesterday, and have already played a few matches. So far, the game seems pretty solid (as long as it's not going to be released before the end of the year). But my biggest concern is that nothing is adequately explained. I'm a hardcore gamer (especially within the FPS genre), but I have no idea how most of the game works, even after reading the tutorials.
So, here are my questions: 1. What game-types are there other than team deathmatch? 2. Is the heavy class supposed to be good against vehicles? I tried to hit a vehicle multiple times with what looked like a rocket launcher, but I didn't see much happen. Is there a charge up time for those types of weapons? 3. I've seen ammo caches around the map. Is there any way to destroy enemy ones? And can I steal enemy ammo from said enemy caches? 4. How do the limited supplies (like guns and shields) work? 5. Is experience in a category gained by killing people, using that particular equipment, or in some other way? 6. Do items ever drop on the battlefield, or do players always have to buy them from the store? 7. There is no music during most of the game. Is that a glitch or is the music not finished yet? 8. The battlefields I've been in seemed predominantly grey and brown. Is there a lot of map variety, or is that the overwhelming standard so far? 9. Is melee supposed to hit instantly (when the button is pressed) or when the knife actually swings (there is a 3 second or so delay)? How effective of a strategy is melee when up close, and does a melee from behind result in a 1-hit kill? 10. How effective are grenades? I never managed to hit anyone (well, enemies at least) with one yet. 11. Are there squad-spawning mechanics? The menu makes me think so, but I never bothered trying to figure it out (easier to spawn in default).
There is skirmish mode where your team has to destroy the other mobile command center capturing Null cannons to fire at them. In the future more will be added such as 'incusion' mode where you and your team has to fight off hoards of enemies.
Heavy Suit is designed for operations where he doesnt have to run around that much and have to withstand alot of fire power. As with any suit how you fit it determines it role. A heavy suit for example with a shotgun is an excellent stormtopper able to clear out rooms. While ones armed with an HMG can cut squads down and those using forge guns could cuase serious hurt to vehicles.
The 'supply' depot if you refering to this is caputrable just run up to it an hack it. The amoo spheres you see are nanohives they're not stealable but destroying them is a simple manner of one or two shots.
All items with the exception of starter fits are lost on death so stock up ahead of time
Salvage at end of hte fight is a random loot roll of the table the more stuff gets destroyed the larger the table gets and the better you before the more rolls you get up to max 3. future interations will improve this to match your 'class'
Earning war points also works on skill points, you can use skill points to improve yoru soldier or qualifiy for new items, war points are also spent seperately on infield support these are reset every match though but tallied up as a score on the leader boards.
Most multiplayer games dont have music in them, You can google up eve online music and hear alot of the music that could be in dust 514 one day or something inspired.
Keep playing there is green red and white a bouts and thats just mood setting we're still technically on one planet.
its instant and the swipe is much larger than the screen area. its gong to change up next patch however.
Grandes are not working due to some collision bug, its being worked on after all its beta.
There is a drop uplink that a squads can deploy for thier team it would not suprrise me if htey come up with a mobile drop uplink for command suits comming soon. |
