Why on earth would professional publicized matches be a bad thing?

the reason i say they are bad is because they all use op weapons or so i heard(ex in halo they all would rush the energy swords). in the previous build this would probably be 20 dropships shooting at each other while they're all on top the towers.

Because that brings in a horrible userbase along with it. We would get the casuals that whine about everything, and then the devs will inevitably begin to cater to them, just like every other good game.

Rorek, have you ever actually watched an MLG event? Individual adults (not kids), and sometimes entire teams, are sponsored by private companies to play in tournaments. If that's not "professional," to you, I don't know what is!

Don't be stupid, MLG offers CCP a huge marketing opportunity, they would be fools not to have something for them in this game.

Lets just hope they hang out in the arena style Gladiatorial matches. If that's the case, then I'd fully support this, because then we could watch them in our Merc Quarters and make ISK off of betting on them.

You wont be racking up anything other then deaths. You'll be able to kill the wannabes, but every actual MLG player would be just as good, or far better then Zitro, and his brother. (just to give an example.)
