EDIT: also when we have a real game release i can see a clan leader ordering a few tanks for others to own the battlefield with or maybe a commander but we havent heard much about that role DICE doesn't have a system where you pay for your vehicles. Last time someone got into my drop ship they flipped it over. They beat me to it because it was deployed 25m down the road from where I called it. Luckily, there was only a couple minutes left on the timer and nobody destroyed it. There needs to be some sort of lock though, I shouldn't be afraid to repair my drop ship or call an ob, with fear of losing my investment. ik thats why i said directs to eve players but if u get out someone will take it in battlefield ik i take tanks if someone gets out but i let him get in (wait in place 5 or so seconds) passanger and not just drive off lol Well that makes you an ass to be honest. ummm no? we have a war going on im not sitting in an idle tank its idiotic or r u refering to me being an ass in a different way? EDIT: in battlefield 99% of people dont get out of tanks unless we took heavy fire and they repair in which case i get out cause i think it will explode soon or i repair if i can most of the time
I'm saying if you steal his tank, you're an ass.

Join a corp when you're able to and only call in vehicles when you're with them.
Until then you'll just have to deal with morons stealing it. |

Maybe lock the pilot position until the owner exit the vehicle. |

Welcome to New Eden, if you don't want to lose it don't call it in.
you get out of your ship while in space in EVE, someone else can get in and take it.
and if it's not nailed down, someone is gonna steal it. |

I do not think you should lock it, but it comes with the risk of leaving your vehicle for anything. I mean what next really? Remove the ability to hack enemy vehicles? I'm just saying this is and should always be part of the game. We hate it when it happens, but it does happen. Ususally a couple of shots and a get the hell down here with my vehicle works. You could always TK the whelp as an example and then proceed to rip him a new one via mic, or messages. You'd think people would learn about this simple edicate, but it remains to elude some people for one reason or another. You just have to put up with it whenever you risk leaving your vehicle.
Lord did I hate it in Warhawk, but again it happens. You either deal with the issue in-game, or let it go though. |

So you just leave your sports car running in the middle of the city when you have to get out?

You crashed my expensive ass-ed dropship, you incompetent prick! Agreed. They need to make Vehicle locks, so that no one can get into the driver seat of your vehicle unless you change the settings to let them.. I.E they ask you if you if they can get into the driver seat, and you click " accept " I would have to agree. i can foresee some problems in the future with my fighter ship being stolen. But only if you have the option the turn it off |

I think if you don't have the skills for all the **** in the tank, you shouldn't be able to drive the damn thing regardless. I think it's stupid I have to train all these skills to outfit my tank, but anyone can just get in it and drive away. And if you hack my tank, it should just blow up if you don't have someone with the skills to drive it. That whole system there is ******* ******** imo. And if it's the same way in EVE then I feel the same way about it there. If you don't have the skills, I shouldn't have to worry about you jacking my tank cause you shouldn't be able to. And if you do have the skills, you most likely have your own damn tank to drive.
Second, why are you not standing right where your tank/dropship is actually coming in anyway, I make sure Im within the enter vehicle range as it drops from the sky. |

Oh look it's you. How cute, Comparing a video game vehicle to a real life vehicle. I'll play this game. Kids these days. Such a riot. From the moment a car is put out from factory to lot, or in transit to said lot, or even among ownership of said persons they run the risk of it being jecked. It happens in real life and it happens in video games. I've seen people with friends in real life have their vehicles taken without word. People do the samethings whether in real life or in some other outlet, or medium. The moment a vehicle is manufactured it is at risk of being stolen. Whether nefarious, or innocent. Kids teenagers, and tweens especially like to take mommy, and daddy's vehicle. I'm sure you've seen atleast one news article or episode of COPS in which the arresting officer pulls over a vehicle only to find it was stolen and driven by a kid. Happens with friends, family, and even people whom thrive on stealing vehicles. Keys may not be included.
Happy? Ha-ha. Hilarious. |
