Using that logic there's never nerfs.
Personally I'm "meh" about it, I do like how I can use militia gear and compete with people in proto gear now instead of having to get really lucky or outnumber them. Proto suits a few builds ago got ridiculous, wearing a full proto suit basically promised you a 5.0+ KDR even if you weren't good at all. Now I can compete in my noobie gear ^.^
I too have been training mostly into passive skills, weaponry at the moment. Only at 1.3 mil though, need to play more.
On the other hand... that means tanks are going to be able to squish people in proto gear just as easy as everyone else, well, almost as easily anyway. Strange to see them gimp all the suits but leave tanks the same, then gimp AV equipment at the same time. Clearly not favoring the foot soldiers this build, but I'll still remain one of them xD
...
Maybe
the 5.0 KDR (greatly exaggerated) is why i like it everyone who plays has the opportunity to be good by playing a long long time or by being great at shooters. It also teaches teamwork first since u will die with lower health suits compared to proto if u dont travel in groups. idk why they ever changed it i see the whole game being ruined in one nerf thats why im praying they change it back this should not play like other shooters
After further speculation I actually like the change somewhat, I think it's still weak sauce because vehicles are going to be able to easily kill people with expensive fits but w/e, hopefully more people group up and use teamwork.. been seeing a lot of it lately which is promising. More teamwork from randoms than I would expect.
I'm fine with the way they are now, from my experience in playing the last couple of hours (hardly got to play this build so far).
The opinions between us clearly are different though. I think that to be good at a shooter you have to learn from your mistakes, get better at aiming, predicting enemy movements, flanking, sticking with the team. Basically being and doing good should rely more on your own skill than the game holding your hand because you have enough SP to afford super suits. I'm really enjoying infantry engagements more than I ever did in the previous builds.
If that's your opinion then that's OK, I'm just letting the developers know which one I prefer. Giving feedback.
Because of prototype suits I feel a lot of the gunfights devolved into strafing contests, less about skill and tactics and more about moving your left analog stick in random movements and counteracting it with your right analog stick. Not very skill based or involving much strategy IMO. Now that people die faster more thought is put into things, at least for me and it seems to be paying off.
Loving the change now.
Note that that's just from infantry vs infantry point of view for now, I haven't had the chance to train into AV stuff yet.
