Hi,
The pattern of invalid dropsuit outfits normally follows entering a battle while trying to check voice chat from what I have gathered.
Today I logged in, went into my scout dropsuit and changed the loadout, restocking my primary weapon. Next I went to enter an immediate battle and pressed Start to view the chat channels. I was flicking between local voice, squad voice and the custom voice channels while waiting for the battle to start. I did not enter any battles before starting this process today.
Previously the times I have had invalid loadout issues has been when trying to view who is in a voice channel while a battle is initialising (but not yet started) - really hope this helps you guys reproduce the issue :) |

I never even knew "invalid Dropsuit" could occur until today.
Went to join a battle and selected spawn point, wouldn't let me in because all my suit was invalid.
No weapon, thats ok, I have others, could not switch. It kept offering me the marketplace when I selected replace but NOT one of the other weapons I'd stocked. Tried to buy on the market place just so I could get in and no dice. Just got a whirly busy signal.
Got the nag that I really should be joining the battle... I wanted to! but I kept going round in frustrating little circles, can't equip suit because no weapon, can't switch weapon because only the market place, cant use the marketplace because only busy.
To top it off there is a voice which then goes "this will be entered on your permanent record, (whatever that is!) so that just made it even more frustrating.
It really should NOT let you sign up for a battle unless you have a valid suit, I'll make sure I check from now on but the annoyance factor was suprisingly high. |

Gaeron its a bug, not you. There is an occasional issue with the game improperly loading your fittings and considering them all Invalid
@Craig that may cause it, but its not the only cause. I've loaded the game, walked right up to Instant Battle (without doing anything) and got Invalid. |

I have the same problem. It's while I'm messing with the chat so it's good to know I'm not the only one. Frustrating to have to exit the game jus I can play again. Happened twice to me within 20 minutes |

Sounds plausible. I seem to recall a higher risk of getting invalid fittings (and other battle problems) if I do anything on the chat channels before entering the actual battle. |

My telltale sign for this bug is when the game displays an empty player queue after selecting Instant Battle and about half a minute later the loading screen comes up.
It's not 100% sure that when this occurs I will be afflicted by the bug, but every time I was the precursor described here was the same. |

It happens all the time for me. Stay away from the entire neocom as much as possible. Only join games using the circle button. Don't use neocom for anything. If you do quit and start the game again. That should help. Stay away from the neocom if you are having this issue. It is unfulfilling , but at least you will be able to play . Don't peak at chat , no nothing. YMMV Luckily , they are working on it . |

^^ This is my experience with this bug aswell , but I have managed to make it happen a few times in the past hour. Opening chat while waiting on instant battle to load in players , player list stays blank , battle loads up and I have invalid fittings each time I have done this. The resulting fittings cannot be re-stocked in merc hq even after this , and have an eventual quit dust-> start dust to resolve . As for the post stating to not use the neocomm, I have not had any issues pertaining to it( other than instant battle->press select for chat->invalid fittings) , care to elaborate on your experience with the neocom causing this? |

Sure , but I am away from home this weekend so I'll generalize.
I don't open chat anymore because most of the time it just never loads. I don't change fittings during a game *. Those things weren't enough to avoid invalid fittings.
The night that I posted simply by avoiding the neocom altogether I played five games in a row ( never happened before ) . The sixth game failed because I went into the vehicle loadout post game - sixth game was invalid.
My usual routine used to go like this : Play a game. Then distribute points in skills or purchase equipment via character skills screen, the market, and loadout screen. Then [Start] Neocom > Find Battle > Instant Battle = Invalid fitting. Or the first battle would succeed , but the following would be invalid.
I suggest you try it yourself . You will know rather quickly if I am correct or not.
*some games continue to run in the background even after you quit and you are in the MQ. |
