I was thinking the adverage fight in dust gives a player about 40,000 sp. The daily passive income is only 20,000, but I can undestand how they dont' want afk players to super level while away for 3-4 months.
So here is my suggestion. sp passive gain decays over time. In 2 weeks of not playing it should drop to 10k a day instead of 40k. A single match brings this total back up. So a game a day is promoted, or a day a week. |

Halo 5 gets boring, logs back into dust 514.
"Whoa! Where all this SP come from? oh cool new features and skill books!"
right but I'm trying to address 2 issues here.
1.CCP don't want passive sp income to be too high.
2.Passive income is too low
you could make the minimium sp 20,000, which is where it is now, but if you play, that is increased to 40,000 for a few days as log as you play a whole match. the degrade could go as follows.
40,000 35,000 day 1 30,000 day 2 25,000 day 3 20,000 day 4
another idea is more straight forward
40,000 40,000 day 1 40,000 day 2 40,000 day 3 20,000 day 4 |

Maybe make it modular, so that if you gain X amount of active SP you can only reach the normal 23k or so for that day. But I can see that being harder to tweak.
Eitherway, it's a tad to low, but not by much. Yeahh I don't like the current passive SP gains, seems too slow, so i think it should be boosted a little. I agree, as has already been said, the point of the passive gain is to make it so that people that can play for 50 hours a week don't just stomp all over anyone who can't match their play time, which is also the reason for the active SP decline.
That's a whole different issue. Personally I think the decay should last a week. At the end of the week your active sp gains are rest. Meaning you get one day of maxium sp in games. So as long as you only play one day a week you're always getting tons of sp. People who want to play all week start to get 2,000-3,000 a game by the end of the week. But people who only play for one day a week get 40,000-60,000 a match |

If you're playing more, you already get more SP as a match reward. Why make passive SP gain dependant on your play time? It's called passive for a reason. I also agree that passive SP should be boosted, currently you can easily earn 10 times the SP you get passively per day by playing a few matches a day. Even with the active SP gain being halved at release, I feel it's too much. People should play the game because they like the gameplay, not in order to grind for SP. I hate grinding, and the only reason why I play Eve is that you don't need to grind for SP in this game.
The how about something more simple? 40,000sp a day as long as you play ONE game a MONTH. The goal is to keep people coming back, plus it doesn't reward people who don't play for a year. It instead rewards the player who can't play to often but keeps coming back for one more match when they can. |
