Thx so are they merely transfering conciousness from one clone to another to wake up somewhere else? so to speak. so all the systems on the starmap will be accessible to us as time goes on ? |

So, far. They seem to plan to have other types of movement. Stargates in EvE can be camped for hours, being defensless cargo on 40 min trip only to die by sniper spaceship(not kidding, caldari use sniper battleships to ohk enemies from out of radar range as they exit stargate in EvE) CCP will add other travel methods as they figure out good way to do it, if just added willy nilly EvE players would kill way to many dustbunnies just trying to get to a battle. |

Probably not any time soon, but maybe someday. Not much info on this right now.

So is it going to be the Corp's responsibility to get the barge to wherever they want to fight over in nullsec, and we can just beam our brains over to it when they need to populate the battles? How does our individual gear travel? Are we going to have to insure our junk while its being shipped? Divide it up among multiple war barges if we want to fight in different engagements across New Eden? |

Would love to get a contract where the objective is to take out a EVE pilot/s. I have heard their ships and clones cost a fortune, so there must be tears involved if such mission succeeds.
But it's likely that it's just a matter of transferring from a clone to another. We might be even recalled in middle of a combat to another more meaningful battle if necessary. At least this is how I understand from the Dust 514 Immortal clones trailer.

You aren't required to make nice with Eve players, but those who do will have an edge on those who don't. Also local is everyone in your current solar system, which seems to be segregated by corp for testing purposes. |

Well movement shouldnt be too bad, maybe we will be able to arrange a shuttle from our MQ to take us from planet surface to a corp/alliance members ship in orbit, if you belong to a decent size Corp/Alliance then they can utilize the Alliances network of JB's. Then if you dont belong to a decent sized corp/alliance, then you could either clone jump (not sure how your clone would get there if you havent been there yet to have a clone there) or ride a transport through each gate. Obviously Clone Jumping would be safest, then JB, then standard gate travel. |

Not at all. You're right on the money, in fact. Poor performance may result in the contract issuer deciding that their money would be best spend elsewhere. |

Seriously, everybody listen up: There are no Solar "systems".
There is only one "Solar System". It is the system of planetoid stellar bodies that revolve around the star named Sol.
Now I know what some of you are thinking: "Isn't our sun just called 'The Sun'?" The short answer is yes it's called that, but that's not its name. Its name is Sol, and thus the system of planets in which it resides is named the Solar System.
Now, I watched "Seeding the Universe" and I am quite aware that even CCP made this mistake. That doesn't make it any less wrong.
The correct term should be "star systems".
Bonus point: "The Moon" is actually named Luna.
(I correct this a lot, but no matter how often I correct this, it just never stops needing to be corrected again and again.) |

Actually it's a star cluster, not a whole galaxy. Galaxies have millions or billions of stars. New Eden has 5000+.
As far as intergalactic travel, it's not possible because faster than light travel is usually done by stargates, and those have to have the destination stargate built before they can work, which requires decades of STL travel to do. Traveling to another galaxy would take hundred or thousands of years. |

Once again, I don't give a damn if CCP made the same mistake for EVE. Since they made the mistake in "Seeding the Universe" I actually assumed they most likely made the same mistake for EVE.
That still doesn't make it correct to call every star system in EVE A "Solar System", because the Solar System is the NAME of an INDIVIDUAL star system, and NOT a classification for what all stellar bodies around a star are called.
Bob is a person. A person is not Bob.
***EDIT*** Actually, rereading your post after my computer crashed, it seems that you didn't even bother reading my post. I misread your post as saying that CCP calls every system in EVE "Solar Systems". Now I realize you are just saying that there are thousands of systems, as if I suggested there weren't any in EVE. I made no such claim, and was not even referring to the EVE Universe at all, but rather our very own. Actaully read a post before responding to it next time. |

^ This. I don't know what the means of transport will be, but we(dusters) will be able to get to the planets without being blown up on the way. |

New eden has about 5500 visitable systems. This means a system with a stargate.
Not all systems can have a stargate. In fact the vast majority cannot.
IIRC: one of the requirements for a system to have a star gate, is that it had to at one point be a binary star system, and the stars must have since collided. This causes the gravity to something something tear a hole between systems something something.

So far everyone either already knows this and just slipped up, or is pretty astounded to find out that "The Sun" actually has a name. |

In your neocom there is a tab with "Clones SOON (tm)" I'm guessing this might have lots to do with travel to 0.0. Clone jumping is the term I believe. |
