No, I think this is a bad idea. The addition of a sidearm slot would simply make the assault suit less valuable, and drive people away from the assault suit, and into the logistics, making assault suits less viable. |

I doesn't in any way take away from the Assault suit... The default weapon of Logistics is an Assault rifle BTW - that it self is proof, because the main differences between Assault & Logistics is the amount of equipment you can carry - not the amount of weapons, & I, went from assault to logistics because of this(& regardless of the fact that Assault Dropsuits are stronger in both armor, shields, movement speed etc)... |

Logistics is slightly slower (4.7 and 6.6 m/s run/sprint vs. 5.0 and 7.0 m/s), has slightly less armor (25 less), but has more high or low slots than assault (depending on suit type), more equipment slots, and it has more PG/CPU than assault.
Logistics is a really good suit. The sidearm, speed, and armor are traded for more high/low slots, more equipment, and more PG/CPU. Decent trade. Giving them a sidearm would be too much, I think. |

not to mention the main reason logistics isn't the #1 choice for sniping is the lack of a sidearm. |

Not giving Logistics a side arm - limits it to only Assault rifles... That's my problem - I'm a submachine gun\grenade launcher kind of guy... >.>

What? Why do you say that? The #1 reason for ME using Logistics - besides the fact that the suit looks AWESOME - is because it versatile, hence I can do lots of stuff with it... I LIKE being the fix it guy in the super cool suit - I just need two weapon & grenade slots to become the one man army... o.O lol

So then logistics clearly isn't the suit for you.

He's saying the reason logistics isn't the go-to for sniping, and why it's maybe a bit ambiguous which suit is best compared to sniping, is the lack of a sidearm. Really, if logistics got a sidearm, it'd be hard to find a really good reason to use assault. Would the 25 more armor and 0.3 m/s more run speed and 0.4 m/s faster sprint for 3 seconds longer really enough to offset having fewer high/low slots, fewer equipment slots, and lower PG/CPU? Probably not. |

I think the slot layout is fine on logi, I would like a shield tank version but I'll just wait for Caldari logi I guess.
If logi gets a side arm added, the assault should get its sidearm upped to second light weapon. This would make a reason to still use assault.

It's purposely set up so that no one suit is the best at everything, you choose the one that best suited for the position you wish to play. Heavy: Overall speed is slow, but has high armor and the ability to wield the strongest handheld weapons in the game. Logistics: Sacrifices the sidearm slot to carry more equipment, so they can provide better support for the team. Assault: The most versatile suit on the market. Basically, a jack of all trades (except heavy weapons), master of none. Scout: Has very little armor, but is fast and has a low signature profile. Command: SOONGäó Pilot: SOONGäó If you want to be a 'one man army' then find something else to play. |

I already play my logi suit like an assault suit, the lack of sidearm is the only reason I switch to assault sometimes. Personally, I don't think it needs more firepower, I think that would remove focus from it's role as a support suit. |

the logi doesnt need a side arm becasue it not meant to be a all around versitle suit its meant to support other suits, one weapon slot means it can provide some fire support and defend its self, but without a side arm it cant charge enemy position effectively which its not supposed to do its supposed to support the charge or defense not actaully fight. it weapon is for defense and support not combat. |

if anything it should just have a side arm but defiantly not both as the person above said they should be able to defend themselves when they go to revive people and cap objectives but thats about it, if you want an all rounder go for assault |
