Hey, I was thinking, perhaps it would be a good idea to give all new players a full suite of militia BPOs.
This would have several benefits.
The first, is that it makes it easier for a new player to get into the game, as they won't need to dedicate the winnings of their first 3 matches or so to buying them. Feeling a sense of accomplishment after the first 3 matches, rather than having to dedicate that money for the most basic of equipment will help new player retention.
The second, is it will help eliminate some marketplace confusion. I could EASILY see a player not understand that militia gear is multi-use, and end up buying 300k worth of militia assault rifles. If they are removed from the marketplace, then it will be simplified.
The third is: it will allow the market place to be less cluttered, as there will be no need for the militia section. (the militia vehicles can move to the real vehicle section)

I agree with point one, honestly to me it's about the customization options as much as/more than anything so even if they were at lower stats having the BPOs available to new players is a good call IMO. And that ability to test and learn will help new players learn and thus improve new player retention.
Second you're right there really should be a more clearly defined way in market to see what is a BPO and what is a BPC.
Third, this one hasn't really bothered me but I wouldn't oppose the change either.
Also here's a thread you might want to look at/speak up in, seems CCP is considering doing away with militia BPOs and making them all BPCs... https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=32441&p=3 |

i agree about moving the vehicles not the other things though in my opinion CCP should make it so you can tell an item is a BPO |
