So during the time that I spend in the war barge waiting for a game to start, I have noticed that players are unable to walk up the staircase immediately to the left of where you 'spawn'. This gave me an idea.
Make the upstairs only accessible to 'VIPs' or people who have met a basic KDR requirement. The VIP lounge should have comfortable seats, TVs, and a balcony from which we can look down on those not good enough to be in the VIP room.
Just an idea, let me know what you think. |

i agree with this idea +1
kdr requirement should be set to 3+ tbh seems like a good value for VIP material while not setting it too high where ppl ignore the objective and look to stat pad
PS: Needs to have a way to seperate tank kd from actual infantry kd....vehicle kd dont count...if we counting that should be like a 5 or 8+ kd for tankers
just a thought tho

I think its a great idea but instead of having KDR requirements make it available to those who spent a certain amount for Dust, like accessible to those who've spent 30$ and over. It will make people curious and incite them to spend money on the game which will make Dust even more awesome! |

Referring to infantry kdr. As Mavado said tankers should probably have separate requirements. |

I know , just trying to find creative way to say KDR sluuut, I play sniper and use dropships so my KDR is poor but I always try to contribute bye running and hacking witch sadly leads to premature death and you know as well as I do there are a lot of peaple that will pad there KDR

Ahhh, ok then. I see, I see. At first I thought you were suggesting another feature that players would find in the VIP lounge. But this is a T for teen game and we can't have that kind of thing...

You guys enjoy your 20 sec comfy chair sit by the time you walk up those stairs (hope you have a scout as your default or you might not even make it). My guys and I prefer to spend our war barge time walking down mercs and trapping them, I call it a "bad touch group hug", or getting our squad to walk at the same pace in line so it looks like we are all holding hands, and sometimes we start dance parties.
Sit and watch TV...lame. |

Hey man...I luvz it when they try and run...we really should get on team mics in there and demand they squeal like a pig (+1 to whoever gets the reference). Best so far was only two of us pinning four guys.
Tonight I shall be hosting synchronized Heavy hand holding races. Tomorrow I-spy-with-my-little-eye death match (no snipers allowed).
Slightly back on topic...I look forward to the social elements down the line but it should go with out saying that VIP lounges and playing dominos takes a back back seat to a hell of a lot of other things. Don't let the devs minds wander with too many candy coated ideas before the basics are sorted.

Wins and losses are the easiest thing to pad when playing pub games just zerg up or teamstack some randoms for easy wins, ppl do that alot in BF3 prob wont be any different here in DUST, only wins loss ratio that matters is in clan wars
i will agree its not the be all end all of a player skill and there is alot more to determining the quality of a player but sadly, dont think we can expect CCP to code in such things to determine those values..........sooooo.......we're stuck with kdr for the VIP lounge :P |
