Yes tanks ruin the game and yes I am in a tank. Tanks give way to much reward for hardly any isk and risk.
Games turning into a ww2 tanks sim and it sucks.
Think I like being in a sh1ty tank think again. This is my first console shooter and I actualy wana learn some gun game not spend my time showing everyone how godly a tank is.
Managed to get some good rage mails but those fagggots aint showed up on the forums and posted about how they see tanks so tbh I'm close to giving up.
Enjoy your gun game filled with no skill noobs running tanks 23.5/7
EDIT: Think me havign 12 mil SP is unblanced then dam well post about it if you want it changed I'm sick fo fighting the tank fags all alone. |

1.8 mill sniper for now
1.5 mill not decided [edit] this will be AV in case CCP have any thoughts on not wiping for this build i'll havea small headstart.
3.2 mill this will be assault/support/logistics.
keep geeting elite sniper rifles on char 3 how do i sent em to char 1? 
all on foot and once i saw how OP gunning in a tank was didnt do it again.
didnt know the severs were open during the week until last monday thought it was still weekend beta.
you guys should make 3 chars if you didnt already they all tick slowly gaining minimal skill points. unlike eve.
i just bought the merc pack so should see 30% more sp if i don't just give up on this build. |

It's because of all the kills and assists, and the lack of deaths. Tank drivers have always gotten an insane amount of ISK and SP per fight, and people wonder why I ***** about the state of dropships right now....takes 10x more skill to use, and you get 10x less rewards than tank drivers >_< |

Or could it be we farmed the Sh!t outa all of you for SP and have some epic dropsuit and weapon skills toogive us an edge?

if he's a good tank driver alone i'd bow to him just we cant see that yet.
now i was thinking about this earlier why should tank drivers be able to use them points into something like assault rifle. shouldnt there be some kind of stopgaps to ensure these drivers dont just max everything out? so if you want to skill assault rifle you at least have to use it for x amount of kill or x amount of time or something. |

Think i am at 10.8 million SP, but damned if i can play enough to stay in the top 10 anymore, some ppl must really play the crap out of this game. Thinking about skilling into tanks after I unlock the Vk assault suit, AU server is starting to see some tank whores and dropping them to 25% only to see them run off and rep is getting annoying as hell, sucks that wearing any kind of AV fitout totally gimps your ability to fight other inf well. |

Sha i know how u feel mate i have been fighting tanks supporter in the forums too just hang in there, too bad people think you are one of those tank drivers who just care to farm kills and points to show off there no skills. For those who don't know Sha was never a HAV user he started using them this build to show everyone how easy to operate tanks and they are a win button there is no such skilled HAV user and the amount of SP he has prove how easy to dominate others using tanks just imagine how much SP & isk other dedicated HAV user has yet they complain that Tanks require skills and they are expensive ...etc
Tanks are easy mode no matter how hard they try to tell you how difficult to train them because they don't want others to compete with them and steal there easy SP & isk. Sha created a post in the feedback section asking to increase the cost of the HAVs to make them harder to get and balance there overpowerness bu he got flamed by other known HAV users and called idiot even a liar that he can't possibly average 200K each match all in favor to shut him up and to keep there toys untouched not to mention some IRC guys who tells CCP devs that tanks are fine and the AV nerf was deserved.
So keep it up Sha your way is the right way remember how it worked on the swarm launchers and remote explosive before? its going to work with tanks too i wish i had skilled into tanks to help you out. |

We have both had some great fights with you on here, I also know you're an eve player but also a good FPS player, I feel bad for you that this is your first experience of an FPS, we will keep looking in hoping and we hope you do the same. Worst marketing choice ever by CCP, although they did need more people for stress testing but was it worth losing those players that are having this reaction.
Those of use who played the last build know that things will get better and this is hopefully a rough patch. The PS+ players, they dont have any of that great experience from the last build to cling to and they just rage quit. |

I do understand the problem with tanks. And I am trying to keep my eyes open.
FIrst though, I have about 9,073,649 sp but that is between like 5 characters and only one is a tank driver. And I pretty much suck at this game. Character I have the most fun playing has skilled only into scrambler pistols. You want a real weapon? Go all pistol.
Yes, there is a problem with tanks. But not in the big picture. In the big picture tanks are just going to be another noob weapon and over time will be countered. Even if everyone rushes into tanks at first.
But even though you can farm up sp and stay ahead of the curve with tanks so far, It still doesn't mean that they shouldn't be win button or easy mode, against totally disorganized players in random matches. There should be no reward for that sort of play though. Yes there is a danger if people gear up by farming new players and just hang around curb stomping everyone in random matches. It is akin to bullying. Makes you want to say, "Hey, go fight someone your own size." Yet tanks and other vehicles do have a place in the game.
Tanks are for those battles where you bring all of your best tanks to a fight against an enemy that has figured out all the counters and you lose and go home and cry.
But right now that is not the case at all. I played for Amarr in a lot of the corp. battles and it was humiliating. Not something a first time player or any payer in their first month of the game should have to experience. Got killed by a lot of tanks.
But I have also seen a few guys on foot take out tanks or completely neutralize them with team work. And there have been matches where teams with 4 tanks on the field could not take and hold a single objective in skirmish and lost.
AI feel that your first time playing matches (unless you want to head out into the deep end) everything should be fair and even. Right now we are in a very rough patch where things are kittened and all over the place. Eventually there should be some diminishing returns and players should start going past the peak in the stuff gained for effort expended curves, slow down big time, and more players should start catching up and figuring out the counters. With any type of PvP you reach gear saturation and then the game turns into one of skill again. Most FPS games just start at as close to gear saturation as you can get.
I think a big part of the problem is that CCP have the big picture view and might tend to lose track of the small, how it feels to be me playing the game, picture view.
And we have the small picture view and don't even know the big picture view. In the end CCP have to stay true to their vision of the game and make the game they want. That is always much better than a watered down, compromised vision that tries to please everyone and pleases no one. |

and on that note, i suck cause i just came into this game with the ps+, why is everybody whining about tanks all the time, it kinda makes sense that a tank should pwn infantry, i just make it a habit to stay out of the line of fire, i mean it is not really like they can sneak up on you, keep aware is my motto i get headshotted by sniper fire way more then tanks get me.

Come back and say that once you go against 4 tanks and getting spawn trapped. Or going against 1 really good tank and trying to take it out with 3 AV users. |

Sick of world of LoLinfantry. Sick of other people killing me in 2 shots with a mass driver while me? Nah. Took me all my ammo to kill 2*shock - starter. I'm just fed up with all the inconsistencies of latency and tanks ect. Best week of this build was the first, when 90% of people were infantry. Instead of reworking the % increase from passive skills, they killed the good gear. That really did make this world of LoLinfantry.
Mostly though? I'm sick of looking at the floor because someone hit me with an explosive. So I just drive around or fly about and waste ISK. Because the combat is too inconsistent. |
