Against my better judgement I decided to transcribe this nights session. Please don't go attacking me, the irc or devs or these will stop either from dev end or my end. I present this information for the sake of those who cannot log into IRC or spend the time to stay up the same hours as I do. I am also gathering questions to ask for next time one pops in so feel free to leave em. Remember keep em short and simple IRC cant handel entire paragraphs, if your question is better answered ina forum post make the new thread then point it here. Also one of these here came from twitter.
CCP nothin dropped in to say hi and give us updates. Unlike previous session with CCP Wolfman, CCP nothin is more of a backgrond person so some questions are answered very differently and some questions where better off waiting for ccp wolfman or CCP Command Wang instead.
As stated previously before and due to the very informal nature of the IRC channel all things here are summarized and are not direct quotes. Do not hold the developer accountable for anything not being true everything stated is subject to change and everything here is possible magic crystal ball fuel if anything skin me first.
Previous postings can be found here look here first before posting your question I may have missed your due to the last one being burned up a bit.

This session was about 3 minutes long.
Battleservers crashing ALOT 'Memory Leak, we are trying to plug them but its been difficult but we're on it.'

Normalized suit HP vs Modules vs Skills 'We're talking about reducing direct damage bonsues provided by skills on weapons now that suits are lower hp this will hopefully make modules more prevaltant, however this is only being discussed atm.'
Infantry Mobility on maps. 'Things are changing alot here with both maps and infantry it will be difficult to give a clear answer now.'
ISK and SP Rewards 'More refinements being made, such as taking into account time on the field, and awarding despite disconnects expect this next build."
Compare Market Tool 'Being discussed and a desired feature.'
Preview Market items 'Being implimented should make it in next build, possibly, waiting finalization and polish'
Mapping Controllers of all kinds 'Ask CCP wolfman'
Ghost Battles 'Poking around to see if this is a problem'

*CCP nothin goes back to work whipping the hamsters back into shape. Possible hinted other ccp people will be on later tongiht.
2 hours later CCP nothin returns 'We took a hammer to the us battle severs, they are better behaved now.'
Late Day update CCP Nullboar showed up and gave a quick update
Corp battles causing crashes? 'No it was a myraid of other things causing them we're working on it'
CCP Nullboar then left.

1 been answered previously.
2 has well but we're not sure about weapons chances are weapons are going to remain racial to thier parent races but every race will come up with thier similar solution for example we're guessing the antimaterial rifle is going ot be minmatar.
3. This warrents asking.
4. This is likely self answering yes. A better question would be what new game modes can we expect?
5. Caldari pwnage is opinion. |

This is being discussed still remember. ALso CCP nothins time was in and out before we knew it so we didnt get to those. also most of us knew that ccp nothin is not the guy to be asking about random bullet spread, hit detection (which was answered previously) and balncing. |

Further more there is a slight hold over from the eve online side of things.
Skills should always effect something or why even bother training them? For example why traing demoloition over skill level 1?
If you overnerf weapon skills why bother training them beyond lvl 1? newer models are not going to improve anything othr than slight weapon damage which with todays normalized suits makes them not worth the isk that much. Either way its refinement in progress. Its being worked on and right now its cylendrical, Nerf one thing observe, make more adjustments and repeat and rinse.
Its not like CoD Online *cough I mean PS2's system here perks are leveled up. We're not that rpgified here you dont see 'knife lunge +2' here though that may be nice. |

Stuff like "They got me pinned down over here!" in BF3. In MAG you would hear soldiers in need of reviving calling out...etc. It was also very , very clear on the HUD who needed healing, what needed repairing and what had been captured.
I feel it adds to the atmosphere. Right now, Dust feels so lifeless and empty.
While I'm here, I'd love if someone could ask if we'll be getting a better ADS view. Really dislike the way looks currently.
The more I think about it, the more I realize MAG was WAY ahead of it's time.
CCP is not known for thier VAs and chances are its unlikely and would rather have you guys talk via mikes. |

uhm we dont have that camera scope anymore and the zooming is alot closer to shoulder beraing the weapon up. previous builds you could actually feel the guns point of veiw being shifted from your helmet to your gun camera.
Also the shotgun, SMG, Massdriver, Scrambler pistol has the CoD styled scopes.
Sniper Rifle, Swarm Launcher, and AR have the Dust 514 styled scopes. |

So questions on the queue still
1 ADS/Scopes any chances to for the AR to use a more traditional scope? The camera scope is better suited for the tactial vs the run and gun awareness an SMG scope could provide.
2 Random Bullet spread vs kick vs cadance. (interating a bit but trying to hyper compress the topic while getting across better so we waste less time of the devleoper asking me questions I may not kno the answers to)
3 Lasers next build?
4 Forum presence? Fourum goers are askng for more pesence or at least more adknowledgment thier threads are being read. Some of us dont like using twitter to find out threads are being read.
5 Breach and Tactical ARs still heavily underused, Breach becuase of the overnerfed and tactical may be more attributed to hit detection. Any thoughts?
6 Dynamic Recitels, are we going to get more (as the hmg has one) recitels that react with the user influence such as moving while shooting? This is to help indicate the accuracy and stability loss while doing additional actions this would help train cadance on some weapons.
7 Its possible to kill people outside the smg recitle hipfire box mind taking a look into it? the recitle box should match the smg spread at max range.
8 For Wolfman> Key and button re-mapping? How much more customization are you going to persue? Keyboard users want total freedom, controller users want better degree of seperation between control modes such as sensitivy between vehicles and infantry?
9 Artillery? Being worked on?
10 Heat maps? being added? how will they work for the generated maps?
Shooting mechanics question wont get asked because the developer is just going to say. 'Which one?' and its not going to get answered when i or any other folks in the room cant answer either. Please interate further give speicif examples and begin propagaint the issue. |

And dont get mad at me when they do a fourm update and they dont address anything of your concern becuase I and many others have no idea because you dont seem to share it enough. Things on everyone's mind atm is hit detection corp battles tanks and sever stability and next build, whatever your issue is it not large enough to warrent constant whining or its not well known.
And just becuase you whined about it 3 builds ago and havent whined since then means it got fixed 3 builds ago according to alot of peoples point of view. |

Im not having a go at you Iron Wolf and what you are doing is much aprieciated , but for ccp to say they are busy is not a valid reason not to use there own forum to pass on and get the required information.
Also many smaller or independant developers move mountains to interact with there testers whilst doing the same as ccp with less staff. For this game to succeed they have to interact with us not just a few and the forum should be there fist place of contact then other ways second.
Thats my last post for a while as I feel like I'm just moaning for the sake of it
Thats okay just I wished they forum posted too, whole reason why I went into irc in the first place, it was like in irc they said this they said that. well now that Im there I felt it should be information not kept then lost in irc, its not like anyone can log into irc and see what they said yesterday.
After hanging out in IRC for a while and seeing the level of interaction the place is extremly informal source of infomration its highly possible for one dev to say one thing and anther dev to say 180* different from befor.
What I am doing is almost no better than what some STAR or ISD voulnteers do but they had training, where I have absolutly no training in this sort of work. |

Well the talk was to 'reduce' the damage not get rid of it entirely so instead of 3% so to say nerfing it down to 2% or even 1%

Current Queue of questions in the order they'll get asked. Please note that we may not get to all of these questions in the times available. The lower priority questions are things that are more likely to get answered with Soon(tm) or are very off tangent/ out of scope of current development/focus for example weapon customization is something they want to do but so far they can only talk about it.

2 Random Bullet Spread vs. kick vs. cadance, what is the thoery on creating weapon inaccuracy while firing in less ideal conditions? Any chances of tweaking them to be more reliable and predictable or better understood?
3 Better hip to scope transitions? Such as the character animated hosltering the weapon into shoulder fire position, most notable the AR, Sniper, Swarm Launcher

Sorry Cerebral the earlier inteviews online suggest that full corp workings wont be in by launch, best we and what IRC has been pressing for is corp lite at launch, which will be name, tag, boss and which side of the FW they're on. |

Leave the rest as is or some combos that include the reversed L/R buttons.
I really just want a selection (not unlike the one on the 'Move' setup menu to simply swap L1/2 & R1/2. I have even tried to build a modified controller so I can do this in hardware. * I really want to swap those buttons! * The one layout that has them swapped also completely changes all the other stuff too and I don't want those changes.
I think we need to start a sperate thread on this. |

I guess similar hold true for others when it comes to turrets. I don't mean to offend, but your surrounding is very odd. A quick google search has shown me that the only word you've been spelling is a poor mans version of recital, as in a dance or music recital.
Well reticule seems more in common with belitteling something
Where as recitle is more along the lines of aiming for perfection.
We should just call them scrutinizers! |

I always though ISD would be along those lines but so far no replies back there are just as eager voulneteers out there and its basically a shark tank. |

Did some forum digging around and found a few questions worth asking.
1. The camera feels a bit floaty with a gun attached to it sometimes is there any changes in camera animation to address this?
2. Sensors seem to work too well making ambushes more difficult when there are a large number of 'eyes' on the field. Also the sensors seem inable of hearing only seeing.
3. Sniper operators in IRC argued over this for two hours and concluded for at least now that Sniper Rifle sway and recovery should be increased drastically to encourage training to lvl 5. This will award skillful players for making the first shot count while not so skillful can make up for it. Also that damage be scaled down a bit now that suit hp is a bit more normalized. They also belived that charged variant is albit of powerful and are wondering if you'd consier giving them assault forge gun function where they cannot contain thier charge.
4. What are the current plans for turret families? Many feel missile launchers are too superior in every role while railguns have the edge over blasters still? A good thought out suggestion addressing overall issue can be found here
5. After another long discussion about tank warfare, one idea that emerged was infantry trenches? Your thoughts?
6. Is mass being adjusted for suits and vehicles? Some of them feel alot lighter than they need to be and have no regards to velocity at times.
7. The aim shake during aiming down sights seems very punishing is there any thoughts about having the shake while ads return to pre shake spot? Also the amount of shake being considerate of class of suit? Heavies being the hardest to wave off while scouuts light tapping would screw up thier sniping?
8. The issue of the ever presistent ghost/dud grenades? Annoying as it is any insight to what could be causing the grenades to break? they dont like the idea of slamming into walls.
9. Are the new pilot and Command suit going to use new models? or are they going be copy and paste (*shivers)
10. Has there been any consideration of Subscription packages with various price points? Packages could include items such as 30 day UVT for all packages while higher ones will have active and passive sp boosters?
11. Is thre any additional plans for new vehicle 'types' (HAV/LAV/DS) before launch? Some are wondering about the Fighter. |

But it could be intresting add a bit more of a tactical approach, worth a try a try I suppose.
Plus did they mention anything else about proper sights for AR's ?
not that I am aware of they busy getting the hot fix out atm which includes a tank nerf I been told. |
