I swear over the last two days I've amassed more ISK than I did over the last week. I'm still using my same builds and still kicking just as much ass, but now i'm pulling in like 125k to 200k isk a battle, plus the salavage loot has been insanely nice. |

Yeah, they tweaked ISK gain in the hotfix a few days ago. I have 5 million ISK and nothing to spend it on. |

After lots of complaints and issues surrounding the upcomming changes IRC had to remind ccp that the payout was so massively low that even the best players couldnt afford to die more than af ew times. |

As the upcomming irc issue was that when the milita suits are going to be lost on death. It becomes a problem especially players who get murdered alot. worst score I seen so far was 0-43 which I think to myself how?
either way we had to remind ccp the changes never went though and they had to do a double take and found out somthing was amiss. |

That makes sense. Even using dirt cheap gear i could barely afford my loses, and i felt really bad for the pilots loosing 500k ships. I assume once we can sell our salvage and we get paid in contracts they'll have to drop the earnings down a fair bit or we'll all be rolling in the dough 3 days after launch.
edit: As far as militia suits go, the starting assault outfit isn't.... Bad? and I dont think you loose any of it on death. Else new players wouldn't have anything. Why all the militia gear isn't blueprints i have no idea. |

Meh. Personally I enjoyed the low ISK acquisition. People who rely on "higher" end gear sound like they are compensating for lack of actual skill, but whatever. Guess the laughing at those losing large amounts of ISK is over with. Meh. |

Don't worry, those days will return. Hell that's like the main reason I'm excited about Dust. There isn't a much better feeling than smashing someone's brand new expencive toy. |

I can understand that, but the old ISK gain was so low that even standard fits were basically impossible to pay for. It completely negates higher level gear because no one could use it, even on an occasional basis. |

Not a problem for me. I have no need to use higher end gear when I can just use skills to update my gear. Besides I have faith in my own skills behind a controller or keyboard. Oh well though. As long as it's not as high as it was last build I have no complaints I suppose. As long as things are balanced that is what matters. |

I understand, I use Militia gear myself, but its pointless to have ISK gain so low that half the gear available in the game being totally out of people's price range. If no one can afford it, why bother having it in there at all? |

It's to make them feel more signifacant when see and used. If you are forced to use them only when necessary they feel more rewarding and significant. It also serves to balance the game. |

How so? Plenty of both to be had honestly. In the end it comes down to the "player" themselves to make use of what they have. You cannot just apease everyone by handing out too much. Then you end up with a generic game. |

I had no problems generating ISK each game before the hot fix. More ISK will only create more seperation between the good players and those whinning bout not getting enough ISK each game. |

I beg to differ.
Smashing a pretty girl with her brand new expensive toy is almost always a thoroughly enjoyable experience

I enjoyed the low ISK earn rate because it made public games a militia-only zone. That way everyone was on the same page and player skill was the biggest factor. I can see that EVE players would want us to use the premium gear for their contracted battles, but in public matches I'd like to go back to an ISK rate that only allows militia gear to be used on a regular basis. |

IRC asshats again. there was nothing wrong with the system. They just want to run around in pimped gear 100% of the time from the get go widening the gap between vets and new players even further. You die more than a few times you go into your savings or you do like the rest of us did and use the free gear or here's a wonderfull idea don't use more than a semi pimped loadout until you can afford it. you might be able to afford to die then and still come out with a profit.
Seriously CCP stop listening to people in IRC they are not suggesting things for the good of the game only their own personal agendas.
I can't believe this change got through just because people were whining on IRC, is it one guy making the decisions or is there some type of for and against arguments before these decisions are made at CCP? i hope they are only doing this for testing purposes and watching the numbers very VERY closely, all the numbers including how this affects the new player experience. |

See that is why I enjoyed the low ISK acquisition rates. Because, it helped to ensure a sense of balance, and created a true -- Risk & Reward -- factor that could not be topped. If everyone is just going to be running fully pimped out proto gear and uber tanks I see no point in playing. Because, the sense of actual skill is lost, and it just becomes a lost cause. The reason people enjoy, and/or enjoyed games such as -- Call of Duty, MAG, Battlefield, or even Counter Strike -- was because, beyond individual skill you had a large sense of balance. Gear was not drastically a playing factor. If I went by the numbers and stats of gear the game seems balanced, but again putting those numbers into practice proves that something is not working. I argued this last build infact.
Nonethelesss as long as the increase is not enough to allow for this imbalance, and is justified due to increasing costs of them hinting towards making militia consumables insteads of BPO (Blueprint Originals) then I have no real problem. However if all they did was cave to griefing I have a huge problem. |
