Ah, their damage was nerfed? That would explain a few of the moments of dumping swarm launcher missiles into tanks with very little progress. That's funny because I trained into a Sagaris near the end of the last build and had loads of fun rolling around, completely invincible against anything other than another well fit tank or railgun tank that could catch me off guard. I could take a persons swarm launcher spam without having to activate the shields, now they do even less? Lol, that's stupid imho, the AV should of at least kept its effectiveness until other methods of fighting off vehicles were implemented, now its even more of an easy mode way to play while everyone else has been nerfed.
At least militia swarm launcher still one shots free LAVs, enjoying the free kills. |

Sorry about the last one, that was just annoying circumstance. But it takes lot of coordination to take down a tank unless you have a better tank. Quite easy if you have mics, but sadly, most players don't so tanks still swing battles. Unless you have two competent swarm launcher people on your team who are constantly resupplied. Or a forgunner with cover and a logi to repair. Tanks are fairly easy to repulse if you know what you're doing. Take it from a tank driver, i have games where i spend more time running than i do killing, could easily overpower tanks if you laid a trap at a choke point. Most people don't have the patience or coordination to do it but its quite effective.
Well, when I drove a tank and a lot of the enemy team started to use swarms I would just sit in a spot where I could still take shots and get kills but be far away enough from them that I could see all the missiles coming and have plenty of time to reverse for a second, let the cover take all the damage, pop back out and go back to killing. With the forge guns being so bad at range now I guess there's no real threat when doing that now, unless of course you get someone who jumps in a LAV or something, goes around the map and flanks you, and somehow kills a well fit marauder just off of that; would be a lot more believable if RE's count was 5 instead of a measly 2.
All while allowing your cover to take all the damage, you have the rest of your team pushing against them while their attempts are completely useless and they're under equipped for infantry combat.
Played 12+ matches with my sagaris in the last build and I think I only lost one to AV infantry once and that was because I got it stuck lol. I only ever see well fit marauders die from other marauders, or just fail drivers. I can see how a whole team focused on a tank could get it to retreat or blow one up, but I've yet to actually see that happen unless it was because the driver went full derp. |
