As we all know, tank drivers have been having a lot of trouble staying alive and getting kills. Apparently their struggles have come to the attention of CCP, and in an attempt to alleviate some stress from their difficult roles, they have opted to nerf all dropsuit HP, along with the damage of most AV weapons. Hopefully, this allows tank drivers to survive more often.
If anyone knows the exact changes, please post them here, or link me to a thread (if there is one) that lists all the current changes.

Extended Downtime Thread
Hotfix notes for 8/31/12:
Temporary balance test changes:
* Removed armor/shield bonuses for all advanced and prototype suits. Now the primary differentiator between the levels is slot count * 25% damage reduction to swarm launcher and forge gun * 25% damage reduction to AV grenades
Fixes:
* Fixed swarm launcher max lock-on range to 400M * Correcting oversight on 'Minddrive' SMG * Tweaked the base reward level |

Because CCP didn't already state that the change was only temporary and wants everyone in tanks or to die horribly in the explosion of a railgun projectile. |

All drop suits have the same armour as the standard ones now and AV grenades, Swarm launchers and Forge guns all do 25% less damage. |

What tanks are in difficult ???? Whenever I cross a moin it done 20 kills 0 deaths with such strength that the grenade AV tickle ccp and now you have to offer nerf+Žs??? Seriously .... good news for campers with tanks ... |

Even shite tank drivers can roll around in relative safety unless there's a dedicated effort team wise to take it down. I predict 99% of infantry tonight are gonna play ONE game just to get the 1m SP, then plough it straight into HAVS.
Don't give a tom tit thats this is temporary, it's shows all where CCP want this game to end up. |

What is the CCP logic behind lowering the damage of the Swarm warheads? It took multiple locks and hits to even damage most t1 tanks before the change now its going to be impossible? WHY The only use for a swarm launcher is anti vehicle, this 'temp' change doesnot test anything new that furthers the game that I can see.?? |

Because CCP is balancing around good teams, not around fail fits. Tanks were too easy to solo before, now they require teamwork. Missing from those notes is forge gun is getting some range back. Considering I was killing all sorts of tanks with militia swarms and av grenades, this seems like it will actually require using good AV to counter good tanks. Plus RE traps are more attractive now. I still think missile damage and especially shake should be toned down in tandem. Not going to lie, those too cheap to buy a militia dropship are going to be slaughtered like lambs. |

I read it somewhere on these forums and my little drive in my tank confirmed swarms hitting my rear did more damage then swarms hitting my side or front

Sure, let me run back to my nanohive three or four times as I place enough RE's to do any kind of damage, and while I'm at it I'll sit next to my shining beacon and pray to god no one sees me.

6 players with swarms, I was using an assault forge gun up against a single drop ship. We couldn't even break through its shields the entire match. This adjustment severally destabilized the environment. 25% reduction was WAY too much for the primary anti-vehicle weapons (not AV grenades). My forge gun is better suited for anti infantry now and obviously does terrible at that too. Please remove these "temporary" changes as soon as possible. |

tank camps?? so avoid them, dont chase them down making some half assed effort, make them come to where your team is camped |

so tanks are not unstoppable anymore ****! I've been putting all my sp to vehicle command have'nt even leveled anything else i saved 4.5million isk just to buy tanks!! now they can be destroyed :( |
