Why not? It makes holding the objectives all the more important, because they can provide the enemy with a 'back door' to to your territory. |

once they allow us to drop in our own CRU instellations and others, spawning around a map will be easier. Anyways, if you do not want to spawn on a capture point there are other options. |

I believe the OP's objection was more a logical one. What makes an objective able to resurect a clone? There is no drop uplink or CRU's built into a Null Cannon after all. |

It makes sense in a game mechanic/gameplay sense, would be silly otherwise. Just use your imagination and dont encourage change on things that arnt broken...

Well to remove spawn points on objectives i think is a good idea as it should reduce spawn camping as currently to take objective effectivly forces you to spawn camp even if your not trying to ya know when someone spawns in front of you what are you ment to do?
A possible solution would be to have a clone reserve and objective seperate things in one area with this the main tactic would be to take that clone reserve to cut off the enemy reinforce ments to the objective then to take it with out having to spawn camp the enemy untill the hack is complete. Note i would suggest having permaninet capturable clone reserve units in close proximity to the objectives |

It would add importance to using drop uplinks and DS's as mobile spawn points. |

Although I understand the reasoning of capture point = spawn point, separating them seems a good idea... Kinda like Craterlake was, if anyone remembers Ye Olde Build. |

It's not a game balance issues cause it affects both sides evenly By removing the ability to spawn from objectives, it encourages better use of team play and other features, like uplinks and CRU installations become more valuable. Also might encourage people to defend positions or come to the realization you only need to hold majority of the objectives to win. Let the noobs keep the enemy scattered and distracted |

I sort of a agree with this. As far as the finished product goes, hopefully they'll have a whole other spawning dynamic in place that sort of splits the difference. |

It's rather annoying to be shot in the back buy someone who just spawned after you already clear an area. They could disallow any spawning soon as any hacking has been started or remains partially in place.
Not feeling really strongly one way or another on this topic. It is an interesting question. |

It'd be nice to see some type of CRU thing where we could actually have clones there to spawn in.
Other then that little thing i don't mind having them as spawn points. |

Except in random games you couldn't count on your team doing that, or there being a drop uplink in the right location, so in practice it could really mean that you need to spend a lot more time traveling from a backward spawn area someplace to whichever area you want to fight at.
There might be a good solution here, one that makes spawning more logical, but it has to be more than simply shutting down objective spawning. |

As near as I can tell, it's because the vast majority of players don't ever want to use mobile uplink spawn points. I drop one in a protected location near an enemy control point just about every time I spawn and maybe one or two people will use it. |

as they already use a cool down time once you pick your Dropsuit do you really want another cool down running all the way across the map to try and help your team retain of gain a position and maybe once you get there a heavy or niper thats been tracking you run back 'POW' dead not go back to screen wait 10 sec after you pick your dropsuit the spawn run back for 5-10 sec "pow" wait 10 sec......................... One thing i've always hated about FPS games was when you have to run across a huge map to get back to the action only to be shot as you get close or just arrive.
Utilizing the taken positions as spawn points allows people to try and play more rather than try to get back to where they were so they can play
atleast thats how i see it |

The flipside to allowing the objective as the spawn point is that you're opponent(s) can sit at a point which allows for protection assassination against you when you spawn there, and they have a natural cover to protect them from retaliation. |

I agree that there shouldn't be spawning at objectives (ie Null cannons). You can be half way through hacking a structure with no enemies around then all of a sudden someone spawns on top of you.
You remove the spawning and it becomes more important for the objectives to be guarded. With the spawning someone can be across the map, suicide when the notice it's being hacked and spawn on top of you. Meanwhile you get killed and have to spawn somewhere else and run all the way back.
At the very least spawning should be disabled once hacking has been started. |

Them being spawn points is fine, but being able to spawn on a hacked objective is not.
Allowing to defend an objective by just spawning next to it death after death until you manage to kill down the attackers promotes bad gameplay and team play in general.
Captured objective = allow spawning from the team possessing the point hacked/rebooting = no spawning from neither side. |

Being that they are how you win the game I would say they are important enough, and since you could provide that same "back door" with a drop uplink removing them seems valid.

Two builds ago the first half of the skirmish maps you couldnt spawn at objectives. I think it was better that way. |
