E3 was fun, Precursor is very meh. I'm pretty much let down with all the features I was excited for, and I'm lagging a ton more now. I'd like to see E3 back, minus the vehicle spams and ****** spawns. |

I'd like to see E3 back, minus the vehicle spams and ****** spawns. This is basically where I'm at. I've been having a blast since I started back in the second build, but for whatever reason...I don't know...it just feels pretty empty right now. Like, I just sign on to grind away, and I don't even know why. I can't even put my finger on it, I'm just not really having too much fun right now. I thought KBM would be great, but the controls aren't fluid, I can't remap, and the turn caps are severely low, and extremely unrealistic. The new graphics are nice, but there are way to many hiccups in the framerate because of it. I'm waiting til launch to make any "final judgement" on the game, and I'm faithful that CCP will update the game significantly, but I'm just not really loving Precursor. |

FrozenDefender II wrote:i know this feeling, its the new sp system config i guess, it takes so long to gain sp to upgrade anything, and the isk counter is on drugs also. so you cant afford the books nor the equipment :l i had a sagaris at 2nd build and now i cant even afford a sica. Play EVE for a month, come back to Dust, and you will feel how lightning fast the skill progression is.
People are just far to used to instant gratification these days. It doesn't really take long to get anywhere, it just isn't very fast. |

FrozenDefender II wrote:because its a game you have to sit on to gain the skills, eve you dont have to really mind it or "grind" to get somewhere :l Oh okay, I see what you mean. So rather than just queueing a skill and letting it do its thing, you have to grind the SP, and you don't really like that? If correct, I can agree with that. Personally I wish they made active skilling provide bonus SP, and made passive skilling the primary source of SP. |

FrozenDefender II wrote:exactly, that would be a working solution, for both games i guess, as for eve to gain extra sp to gunnery or missiles or weaponry in general as your pvp ing around or that stuff but also, i'd love to see dust skills go semi passive and you'd just get extra from the battles you go through, though im not sure would it work too well since you could just drop back and log for a month and get easy sp, tho they should make the queue so you can designate the skill your going to be training for so you dont have to actually gather 512k sp to spend it directly on skill as instead you'd be able to partially train the skill, would be cool in my opinionn I agree, you should have to queue passive skills just like you do in EVE, but right now, passive skilling is worthless. You only get 20 SP per minute or so. Whatever skills you queue, should train passively as normal, but if you use those skills in battle, you should gain some bonus SP towards them.
Lets say you are training Assault Rifle Operation Level 4, it would probably have a ~1d 2hr training time. Then if you use Assault Rifles in battle, the WP earned by getting kills with an Assault Rifle should translate into some bonus SP for that skill. |
