Now I know Scouts are supposed to be more nimble then the rest of us and I'm fine with that. It makes sense in the grand scheme of things after all. However as our time since last reset goes on and more guys are getting access to higher tier suits I'm beginning to see a potential problem.
Today was in a match with a few corp mates in my squad. Not going to claim anything excessive but I can fairly state we are all competent players using good suits. We were defending a hill a fighting off attackers alongside a few tag alongs. Then all of a sudden a Scout with a SMG runs up into the middle of us and proceeds to use blistering speed and seemingly infinite stamina to duck, weave and jump through 5 or 6 guys all firing at him and individualy pick us off with close ranged SMG fire. When all was said and done he had killed 2 heavies, 1 Logi, 1 Assault and whatever the non squad mates were. Considering how long it took him to drop the heavies with his pea shooter the fact he never slowed down due to stamina running out really seems off, not to mention how stupid it looked having this little Scout bunny hopping and strafing away from concentrated full auto fire.
So the point of all this is to say, do we risk having Scouts being nigh invincible through their seemingly endless ability to dodge bullets? Will Dust turn into a bunch of Scouts bunny hopping around with shotguns and SMGs? Or was this just a strange anomaly I shouldn't worry about? |

Hit detections needs fixing Nothing else to say but congrats to that scout u got to remember all that speed not only makes it hard for u to hit hm but also for him to hit u i have a hard enough time keeping my fire in the right place when im strafing someone. Also being as he was using a smg he must have been low on bullets after that so probaly died soon after
Also shame on u for not tapping it that wouldve been funy as hell to watch on youtube it can be campared to so manny movies for example matrix, batman, and ah so many anime tv shows |

It's probably a bit of hit detection, a bit of server lag, and a bit of turn speed hard-caps making it nigh impossible to track a close scout.
Also, relevant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOqxUsnSA2c&feature=related |

Scout suit is not too fast, if anything they are a tad on the slow side while not sprinting. Use a mouse and keyboard, wont have an issue trying to track them. Unless they are right on top of you, and to be honest, at that point you lost. |

The more I encounter these scouts employing their bullet dodging skills and dominating up close the more I think they just need their stamina toned down. The endless jumping really is too much. But alas it seems Dust will be another shooter where jumping in a fire fight is a viable tactic. |

Once hit detection is fixed scouts will not seem so invincible. |

Maybe, but jumping require stamina. |

Speed is fine but you're right, something needs to be done with the jumping. Jumping should never be a viable tactic in a firefight, especially jumping that bloody high. |

What's the big deal? Scouts have very low armor and shields, it looks like the hit detection needs fixing, but it doesn't
at times I wish I could use a battleship to take out a frigate.
I need something more agile and better lazor's for that kinda leap.
or just better skills.
Use your grenade's, remote explosives, or just jump in a LAV and try and run them over. |

Well read the OP and you'll see there is no "big deal", simply a question posed. I didn't scream for nerfs or for CCP to compensate for my lack of ability.
It just seems like good players with advanced scout suits can do things that seem pretty ridiculous and I'm wondering what others think.
And do you really think jumping should be a reliable way to dodge bullets? Scouts being able to run away from me in an assault suit and take cover makes sense, scout suits jumping up and down in close quarters combat and being nearly impossible to hit doesn't make sense to me. |

To those who still havnt read the many other posts stating the same thing... its hit detection issue, speed is fine, stamina is fine.
The issue is just more obvious with scouts due to thier speed, but the speed itself is good and proper for a scout, once hit detection is fixed people wont be playing them in CQC to rack up kills as much because they will be the ones killed.
