No cap. Your alts passively generate SP alongside your main, so if you want to very slowly skill up a... I dunno, LAV driver or something, you can do that. |

Eventually you could have one super soldier who does it all, but if the skill tree gets anywhere near as deep as Eve this will take years to accomplish. So specialize and make alts so you can train other specialties. |

During fanfest they said their current line-up of skills would take people seven years to go through, and that people will need to specialize, like in EVE. |

The only limit is time. EVE has kept getting new skills at a rate so that training them all would take more time than EVE has existed.
Right now it'd take about 15 years and EVE has only been around for 10. |

Learning in EVE is 100% time-based. In Dust you accrue SP passively like in EVE kind of, but the majority of your SP will come from combat. |

Having alts allows you to cross specialize across multiple characters, i have one character specifically for piloting for example while the other is pure infantry. |

Why not just do all that on one character? All those skills and money to do whatever you want with one character. |

Diminishing returns on SP from combat. It's easier to get 200,000 SP for each of 2 characters in a day than it is to get 400,000 SP on one. |

boosters are they account wide or do you lock them to 1 character?
i dont buy into microtransactions much but i was thinking of buying 3 merc packs (one for each character) that will be my way of supporting ccp for now anyway. kinda pointless if the boost runs concurent. |
