I remember starting a similar thread long ago.

It actually gained a lot of support because people were simply getting tired of others simply smack posting about how Eve players are better than FPS players and how FPS players are better than Eve players. The same can be said for the "Hi, I'm a PC... And I'm a Mac" camps.
Overall, we can all agree that this pointless bickering should stop because it ruins the overall development of the beta that is counting on us as a community to improve it and make it better than all the games out there. Both sides want the game to be better, so let's at least start with that as common ground. |

Gotta say, haven't played for 2/3 weeks, but loving the update. Got a 12/2 match a moment ago, in Milita Gear! the beta has only been up for 3 weeks?
Where the hell did you get that idea, Kengfa? |

And all that "Qualative Quantity" will be crushed before your very eyes once friendly fire is enabled by CCP and corporations can spy on each other and cause all sorts of damage from within.
In Eve Online, there use to be a very powerful alliance known as Band of Brothers (BoB). They controlled almost everything from key regions that affected the high-sec markets to political power plays in the way corps were managed and enemies negotiated with.
Until an obscure alliance known as Goonswarm (GS) came along. Over the months or years their spy network infiltrated BoB via a disgruntled director who didn't like how things were in BoB. The, one day, without firing a single shot, BoB was disbanded. Their assets stolen, territory left wide open for opposing forces to seize and their political power grip was taken away from them. Many players from around BoB wanted CCP to undo the damage because they felt that no one person should have that much of an impact.
But CCP left it alone saying that "no rules were broken" and that BoB is the one at fault for not being careful enough to check which director should have which powers and authorities.
My point here is that there are two kinds of battles to be fought in every battle. That on the ground (as you pointed out) and that in the corporate room (which I pointed out). Master the corporate room and the ground war and you will be dangerous beyond measure. |

A well discplined army with proper edicate and procedures and compartmetanlziation a strong industiral back bone and a very supportive navy will still trump anyone else.
You just supported my point. |

Really? I just thought that was his way of saying 2 to 3 weeks. Oh well. |
