well where do you start.
bad remote rep mechanics, overpowered weapons, holes in maps., constant ps3 hangs, constant reboots.
hey i am being nice and fair. ccp expected me to test dust 514. i though wow awesome sauces.
i log in just before the precursor build, i missed the first chance due to a heart attack so this invite was a good omen. something to keep me calm and relaxed. well that went out the window.
a few bugs you could live with, and the above overpowered tanks and dropships squashing people, the perma camping spawn points, the SP exploiting , aye sad to say its true very easy to exploit. now a new build comes out the precusor or something like that. it sounds cool but kind of not cool. then the troubles , the forum fills with posts about loading screen hangs and the likes, server full messages. then invalid fittings.
now a few of us report this as a major bug, we could replicate it just logging into dust. i mean one evening in under an hour i rebooted the ps3 four times, thats hard reboot pull plug job. sad to say IT WAS NOT FIXED like many other bugs. Oh content was mentioned, but surely for testers to test a game the basic functions should work. you should not need to rebbot system lots of times. or stare at invalid messages etc etc..
now yeah dust does have something, its kind of good, that mix for the deep dark eve and a fps shoot your face sir game. But it needs more work, it is being rushed out and i do not know why, this is not the normal CCP after the monicales in space shizzle ( basic, eve pilots went to war against CCP holding mass protests ingame)
so yeah its kinda cool but it is broken and stuff needs fixing before anything else, a stable basic system would help testers alot more. the ability to report bugs via the client to, no need to log into a pc or use the ps3 dinosaur browser. More clarity over audio fuctions, it works and you hear folks, it dont work its silence. no menu trawling flicking this tab that selectinga nd then doing this that and hmmm i just died.
maybe it will get better but for me i cannot see it. so there straight up no shiney rubbish fanboi stuff. ist good but broken its needs fixing and more thought and time spent.
peace out |

ive managed to avoid the ps3 freeze by not playing for more then a couple hours at a time, and just letting the ps3 cool down.
as far as invalid fittings, i tend to buy my drop suits from the market, weapons, mods and equipment thru the fittings editor. Make sure you buy the suits after fiddling with the fittings editor/restock. This has almost stopped the [invalid] bug for me.
RaR works fine, apart from targeting the wrong person... unless you are talking about spider tanking.
prototype AUR weaps give me the *****, but then when i play this character (and not my heavy or assault characters) I tendtofocus my sniper rifle on those players i know use AUR weaps :)... and after a fittings refit, and some new skills, i expect to be able to one shot all but that one guy i hate going up against who uses heavy suits
some of the holes in the maps have been fixed, not all but it is a beta, the devs will get to those eventually, and eventually as their workload lessens such bugs will get fixed at a faster rate
No matter how many times people alarum with "its a beta is not good enough any more!"..the fact is... it is a beta and DUST is not being marketed as a finished product...test it at your own discretion. |

My Ps3 has never had a hard freeze on Dust, always been able to use the PS button to shut the game down. Compare it to AAA retail release games like Skyrim that had catastrophic bugs that hard locked my system constantly. I think the Beta is progressing well, its already more stable them Skyrim and that game was GOTY |

yesterday i got bored after having to reboot four times. so i went and done other things.
log in tonight at 6pm BST, its now 21:30 BST . in those few hours i counted 8 times i had to reboot my PS3
now dont get me wrong dust is a cool game, and yes it is in beta, but that does not mean nothing. BUGS should still be fixed right away and then retested. i do not see the point adding new content just to find it, affects the already existing bugs.
now rebooting eight times in 3.5 hours is 100% saying something. it is telling me something is very wrong. if i am having this problem how many others.
maybe im to into eve and expect great things from CCP, but they should be working on current problems, not adding more into the festering pit they already have. its like getting a new car to test drive, then being told they will fix the no wheels problem later. after they have added the 10k audio system the 42" tv and the nintendo wii. a little hard to test drive right ?
its the little things that make the biggest difference and impact. yet people dont see this, they can only answer " its a beta " |

comparing skyrim to dust is freaking insane.
Skyrim was developed for the PC then ported to consoles... dust is developed for the PS3 ALONE and uses the old, standard Unreal 3 engine. the only excuse for so many horrible, game crippling, ps3 resetting bugs is that it is a beta.
either way CCP has a long way to go before release. a LONG, LONG way.

How long have you played eve? I played it and still do for 8 years now, will be 9 next April. And much like when eve would come out with a new expansion or patch there would be a crap ton of bugs, and they used to take weeks to fix. The bad ones would get fixed right away, but what ccp does is they build up a list of whats broken, fix them and release a patch on ALL of that. Before a few nights ago i had no issues with invalid fittings for my noobs gear, but then i guess they did a hot fix and broke a few things. I expect it will take then a few days to find the bugs, get a good sized patch going and apply it. But tbh, my guess is right now they being sure that dust will not break TQ (the main eve server) when it links up. Because if that happens CCP will have bigger issues. Yes the invalid fittings, reboots, etc suck. But the good thing is as we are all using PS3's then hardware is pretty much all the same, so once they fix it it should be easy. You have to give them time, as i said they are prolly doing hot fixes that you don;t see to fix some stuff, but big things will come out in a huge batch all at once. |

But they have a big issue and had it from day one the fps part is still poor and it.s still not working correct after all these builds, so if it's an easy fix cause were all on ps3 why don't they fix it

I feel also the game is not on a good track schedule wise. We are one step away from open beta, and we still have major hard locking bugs and game breaking issues supposedly fixed 2 builds ago?! Dafuq!? |
