so i went and done other things.
log in tonight at 6pm BST, its now 21:30 BST .
in those few hours i counted 8 times i had to reboot my PS3
now dont get me wrong dust is a cool game,
and yes it is in beta, but that does not mean nothing.
BUGS should still be fixed right away and then retested.
i do not see the point adding new content just to find it,
affects the already existing bugs.
now rebooting eight times in 3.5 hours is 100% saying something.
it is telling me something is very wrong. if i am having this problem
how many others.
maybe im to into eve and expect great things from CCP, but
they should be working on current problems, not adding more into the festering pit they already have.
its like getting a new car to test drive, then being told they will fix the no wheels problem later.
after they have added the 10k audio system the 42" tv and the nintendo wii.
a little hard to test drive right ?
its the little things that make the biggest difference and impact.
yet people dont see this, they can only answer " its a beta "
How long have you played eve? I played it and still do for 8 years now, will be 9 next April. And much like when eve would come out with a new expansion or patch there would be a crap ton of bugs, and they used to take weeks to fix. The bad ones would get fixed right away, but what ccp does is they build up a list of whats broken, fix them and release a patch on ALL of that. Before a few nights ago i had no issues with invalid fittings for my noobs gear, but then i guess they did a hot fix and broke a few things. I expect it will take then a few days to find the bugs, get a good sized patch going and apply it. But tbh, my guess is right now they being sure that dust will not break TQ (the main eve server) when it links up. Because if that happens CCP will have bigger issues. Yes the invalid fittings, reboots, etc suck. But the good thing is as we are all using PS3's then hardware is pretty much all the same, so once they fix it it should be easy. You have to give them time, as i said they are prolly doing hot fixes that you don;t see to fix some stuff, but big things will come out in a huge batch all at once.
