4447 bottom line budget. 20 million usd is more than most other studios get for B line games ever dare imagine.

But the fact that you put a "this is not a troll post" disclaimer in kind of makes this a troll post. And you knew it sort of was but had to go ahead and do it. Well, that is ok.

From a marketing perspective it just means they put a lot of money into the game and have a lot of people working on it. In my view CCP would have been better off not trying to simplify and make the explanation of the game palatable using that term "AAA" in the press. Because it seems that unless you are into to the corporate lingo and speak marketing speak the term is essentially meaningless. Or just means whatever you want it to.

COD 4 had things in it, that change FPS for console games the mixing of genre... DUST is a great game but a AAAA game? only one game can take that throne and that's ZELDA 64.

If by triple AAA you mean a game that is revolutionary, genre-inspiring, and possessing of a rabid fan base, then yes, I believe that DUST 514 can achieve that accomplishment.

BO2 as much as i dont like cod has raised the bar and doin something for the competitive community so i give my props to treyarch

CCP needs to step up, game been around since 09 and still crap hit detection, clunky/sluggish gameplay
lacking stuff for competitive play at launch, prob wont even get VR rooms aka private settings for corps to practice at launch either

This game is not even close atm to a AAA game....its fun but def not AAA
clans will drop this game so fast if they dont have practice areas/VR rooms and idk how many will wait around for Gladiator arenas tbh

Look, playing FPS games as if they were a weekly bowling league meet up is fun and I certainly understand and appreciate the allure of all that. I am looking forward to arena fights in Dark Souls and would be much more tempted to get a PC just for that than EVE. But EVE is all about persistent and total war, not the sporting kind, either. The idea of competitive FPS E sports is fun and all but kind of a sideshow.

Also it doesn't seem like a number of people get that this game isn't really going to launch. It is just going to keep chugging along and just sort of be there. It isn't like a box game where they need to pile in the players the first month after the game comes out and then hope some will be hooked enough to buy the DLC until the next sequel lands on store shelves.

I agree about the clunky, sluggish gameplay for the most part. Hit detection is hit or miss. Hopefully that will get sorted out.

But there's no need to get dramatic and all "the sky is falling!" about the supposed failure to launch. Just stop back in from time to time and see how things are going. If and when they get the FPS arenas up and running I am sure someone will pay you super stars some money to fight it out. Or throw a match. Who knows. And by that time there might be a whole new generation of COD kids who might be willing to give the game a try.

COD>BF3>KZ3>MAG for copies sold but tbh that means **** all to me, for all i know 1million retards bought the same game but does that make said game awesome? no

Bugs - BF3 still cant group up with ppl and mics still dodgy not to mention always an OP weapon because patches always break something and make guns useless aka foregrip adds recoil how ******** is that, flares distract a lazer guided missile lol, forgot crap servers since majority are private, MAG lots of bugs tbh

Graphics - BF3 wins, but 12v12 on a console on massive maps = boring and quiet, COD uses same engine i think for past few years and KZ3 did look good but meh, graphics for me not too fussed about, MAG bad graphics

Gameplay - BF3 only for vehicles, KZ3 for something different, MAG for large scale

Story - BF3 short and crap tbh, COD never bothered with it but sounds crap, KZ3 prob best of the lot but the 3rd installment was too short and half arsed at best

Innovation - BF3 none, KZ3 none, COD none, MAG lots tbh

Budget - COD and BF3 prob heavily advertised and KZ3 had a little bit but once again means nothing to me
