i have a few options here, i think
1) spend it on vehicle command V in preparation for getting a gunnlogi. this would entail going further to get shield upgrades 3 and shield adaptation 3 to get the full gambit of standard level vehicle modules. i could also use this to get a Madrugar instead of a gunnlogi, but i'd have to invest more points in order to get mechanics, armor upgrades, and armor adaptation up to snuf.
2) spend it on getting advanced level SMGs. i wouldn't use the AUR items, i'd probably stick with the regular or assault variants. they seem pretty beastly
3) spend it on general fitting and defense skills, like engineering, mechanics, electronics, shield upgrades and shield management, armor repair, ect. (i'd only really bother getting them all to 3 or so)
4) spend it on mobility enhancers like kinetic catayzers, but those might be prohibitively expensive
5) advanced assault rifles. pretty good all-round investment
6) advanced mass drivers, since they only really start to shine at the advanced level. they're super fun but damnit if they're difficult to make viable until advanced level
7) PROTO shotguns. the CRG-3 has served me very well, but it's expensive. i don't think i could roll a militia suit with a proto shotgun and still be next positive ISK, even with an average of 2 or 3 deaths per game and 15+ kills

Unless you expect to literally never die prototype dropsuit mods ain't worth using. Mad props to you if you can pull that off, I guess. If you want to stick with infantry work go with skills that passively improve damage, accuracy, or tank.
Otherwise, rock that Gunnlogi. Make sure you have shield adaptation III before you use it. |

yeah.... one of the big problems this build is that antivehicle stuff is prohibitively expensive, since you're probably going to die a few times using it. the only real counter to the T2 and t2 tanks right now is either a) very well fit pre-made squads with voice comms (almost non existent) b) everyone on the enemy team all throwing AV grenades at you at once (not as uncommon as you might think) c) another T1 or T2 tank (equally nonexistent) |

If you want to play pilot/driver then upgrade those pilot/driver skills.
Skilling up SMG is also a good option if you are using scout or heavy suit, but I wouldn't bother with and assault dropsuit. Reasons being that with heavy you can be a bullet sponge and as scout it's a bit easier to avoid enemy fire and retreat if needed to. SMG Skill also increases the damage so it's worth it even if you don't plan using advanced SMG's.
For assault dropsuit it just seems far more fitting to use Assault rifle, when fighting on medium to semi-long ranges the suit can withstand damage quite nicely and often enough for you to bail if **** hits the fan. (Suddenly map crawling with hostiles and allied troops dropping left and right). AR skill seems pretty useful too, the weapons are expensive tough.
Personally for pilots I would recommend to go with assault skills as secondary. Swarm launcher and Forge gun users generally have hard time against moving targets on medium to semi-long range. |

See the thing is (this applies to new people ESPECIALLY) all I ever see is people grinding to get vehicles, instead if leveling up weapon and dropsuit skillbooks.....they go for vehicles. I was trying to give advice the other night in local chat and some douche came on and was like 'blo ya isk yo'....wow thanks for the tips moron. my advice.......concentrate on weapons and standard dropsuit (dont even bother with proto), we don't earn enough isk per game to keep proto in stock at 200,000+ per suit, and all that work to get to proto will be for nothing when we get next reset. Get used to how the game WORKS (if you're new), learn how to effectively level up, learn what does what. A merc well trained in weapon skills etc is just as effective against proto showoffs, while you've been training skills....they've been grinding for proto, so go for option 3. |
