Me and one of my friends were just playing the other day and we came up with the idea that we should be able to pick up enemy weapons in the field and add them to our assets. idk if anyone has brought this up yet or if they plan to add this at all but i thought it would be a good addition to the already amazing game. maybe not guns that cost AUR because that would make the company lose money but just weapons costing ISK credits. maybe grenades or simple stuff like that. who knows, but its just an idea... hopefully someone on the Dev team sees this or enough of the other plays see this... who knows but i personally thought it would be cool.

I'd much rather enemy assets be divided up at the end of battles to the victor. Looting mid battle wouldn't improve the game, I think. |

The scavenger idea doesn't sound too good, it would throw the focus out from the actual battle. However you should be able to pick up / hack enemy dropped weapons just like you can with vehicles if you have the required skill level to wield it that is. |

Why should I share loot with someone that didn't make any kills? It should be, if you kill it you get it. |

It would be nice to shift the random salvage over to fighting drones (whenever that gets put into the game). Getting things like complete dropships and proto gear when no one was ever using it, seems a bit odd. I like the idea of what ever was used on the battlefield, at the end, the winning team gets to salvage for % chance it wasn't damaged (so you get the whole weapon) and % chance for parts (if it was damaged), which would include salvaging your own corpses. Of course bpo stuff would be exempt. |

You mean like how Eve capsuleers do in Jita?
Besides, if CCP adds in the ability to use buy/sell orders then I will expect to see DUST mercs making massive profit without so much as even joining a match let alone fire a bullet. |

To add to this the guy who went 30-1 would have a really good chance of getting the proto while the guy who went 0-3 has no chance of getting that item. |

Being able to recall vehicles, and use this to take captured enemy vehicles into your own inventory should be part of this also. |

but then new players would get hosed. Maybe a minimum if you go negative then you get 1000isk and 1000sp and no salvage or something.

Give them a lot of basic gear as all of their salvage instead of salvage worth millions that they can't use |

So the guy who goes 30-1 gets all the good stuff and the guy who went 0-3 but kept the other guys tank alive and ticking so said guy could go 30-1 gets stuck with the garbage?????? would not give me and my logistics kit enough reason to help you one bit.....maybe i should hide behind a corner until ppl finish the awesome tank god off and then shoot them in the back at least I might get a kill or two right? this is not a cod or halo game teamwork plays a bigger role for one person to look that good in the K/D area he normaly has some shmuck keeping his ass alive in the background!!!!!!! lol sorry for the rant and im not trying to troll but maybe it should be score or sp earned not K/D I get more sp for helping you than you do for killing foot soldiers |

Agreed. i rarely have games with low kills even as a logi, but ive had games where ive done more for the team than 30/1 tank morons, and still not gotten as much. advanced and proto people(few though they are) love me as a logi, so do heavies, i repair and rez, and supply ammo. Logis should get more than anyone because the team wouldnt run without them. |

The kdr isnt a very good measurement on if you were trying to be helpful or just hidding until the match was over. There will be even more things that dont show up in the kdr sometime soon, like ewar or having a person tackle a vehicle with a webber. As a swarm user, I'd be really happy if a person webs a dropship that is outrunning my missles. |

In EvE, people in tackle, logistics, and ewar were often told not to even equip a weapon. Their support role was more important then what ever weapons they would have cpu/pg left to fit, it also let the noob learn to do his role rather then be distracted by firing ineffective weapons.. Veteran's had enough skill and skill levels to do both, but the guns remain a secondary.
A ewar scout(once we have modules), or repair logi may not even shoot a weapon during match.
