This is a beta. CCP want us to tell us what is wrong. Telling people to shut up or leave is the opposite of what should be happening.
Further, the gunplay should be smooth at launch - even the first CoD met the standard for what is required in a shooter. It's not ready until it is smooth; that's basic FPS gameplay and is not something that should be fixed after release in any circumstance ever.
That being said, I don't think CCP want to release the game until gunplay is smooth, so if you think you're defending their honor I think you'll find they disagree with your premise, value feedback, and you've missed the point of a beta. |

their technology is better so theyll be able to do it in less time but thats the main thing is TIME you cant expect to post a problem and then have them be able to fix it instantly.
you talk about the problem having been there in june but what your blinding ourself to is the improvements they have made which also address that problem along with the others.
all you E3 build guys may not know it but that build was the beggining of the beta essentially before that was basically the alpha build where people were getting used to the controls and the feel for the game E3 build was where they polished it up and started doing the tweaking and the fixing so that gives them about a month and a half to be adressing ALL the problems that have been reported not just the one problem.
just have patience aslong as people are showing interest they will be working to make this game better.
CoD "polished" many things over a decade, but it had smooth gunplay from the start. CCP needs to launch with that. They know that, and with the exception of yourself, we know that. There are many things they can improve over time. In a shooter, gunplay needs to be ready at launch whether you are new to the game or old hat. With a team of experienced shooter developers from companies such as DICE there is no 'lack of experience' excuse anyway. But I'm not complaining about CCP or how they are running things or how the game is coming along, as you insinuate. I only have a problem with the constant threads that say "everyone stop criticizing or GTFO!" when that is what we are here to do.
I am seeing the improvements, I'm not blind to this and I'm enjoying the game more with each build, but you were unquestionably telling us not to give CCP constructive criticism on issues such as gunplay.
In any beta there are kids who scream "this game is stupid!" and they are annoying as all hell -- but the people saying "hit detection is still off, this feels clunky, that's not working" are doing exactly what is requested of them by CCP. |
