Firstly tanks in TDM is totally dumb but whats even worse is not having any re supply's.
How are you supposed to kill them ? oh yeah that's right lose a fortune by commiting suicide so you can change fits. DUMB. |

Someone spawned a tank in the last TDM I was in. I got out a militia heavy fit and killed it. Took me a couple tries, but that was mostly due to bad spawns. You should try being more proactive. Took out a 500k isk tank for a total cost to me of 0 isk. Whew, quite the fortune I wasted. |

Yet again, the problem here isn't the tanks. It's the unwillingness of people to play with engineer loadouts. Nano-hives can solve your ammo problem |

I do think there's a HUGE great problem with the current TDM. That is, internal spaces. Rooms, corridors, doorways, halls. I know the game isn't really all about TDM, but internal spaces would solve so many problems... Once people start getting clever, and being able to judge grenades well, the open ceiling on both communication and biomass will make them grenade fests. Also make for Dropship easy mode.
Tbh the maps just don't "feel right" because of it. Not enough stuff is human interaction scale. Giant cargo crates, massive walls, huge towers you can't climb or go inside, it's just a bit surreal. The structures need entrances...
I guess this is also applicable to Skirmish. |

Well, if the HAV isn't killing you, I don't see why you have to suicide, it's not like you are one of the 20/0 guys.
And if the HAV is killing you, over, and over, and over - QUIT BEING A RE-TARD AND SPAWN IN AN AV FIT SO YOU CAN KILL IT!!
Some of us are tired of the assault cry-hards bitching about vehicles while they REFUSE to grab anti-vehicle gear / fits to help kill them.
I hunt vehicles in any match I see em in - 90% of the time I am the ONLY person on my team firing missiles at vehicles instead of an assault rifle, then I see this kind of whiny crap from the people who refuse to switch to an AV set up on re-spawn.......

so you were lucky you were already in an av fit, and not a 100k fit . would you have been happy to kill yourself for an AV fit ? I think not... think before posting or read the OP properly.  |

No, I was in a logi fit. But I died (I can't remember if I died to the HAV or not) and said "I saw a tank, I shall make it my mission to destroy it!" It took me two deaths going after the tank before I was able to get a couple shots off in sequence and kill it, along with both of its occupants.
This isn't luck, it's just the fundamental difference between you and me. I see a problem, e.g. an enemy HAV on the field, and I solve it. You see a problem, and you break down and cry. :-) |

I have 3 fittings, my main[Scout], my "I Hate Biomass Assault", and a Heavy for tanks...that one is growing dusty thou.
And hell, first time today lve seen a tank since this new build...its not like your being swarmed by them like last build. |

No, I am a sniper/ hacker this build, dropped maybe 1 HAV this build and if you can buy it you should be able to use it period.
If you want a new mode thats pure infantry TDM make a thread for that. |
