i can't really test anything above standard gear, it's just way too expensive to sustain.

would an average per-game reward of 300k isk be unreasonable? this is assuming you get something like a 1:1 k/d and a moderate number of war points.
as of now, i can get 28/5 but still only pull in about 80k isk
can't really test anything beyond militia gear

and yes, i know ccp is sort of testing how highsec will play out at release, but does that need to be present during the beta anymore?

i'm not asking for the ability to run proto all the time, even with 200k isk high-end rewards, you'd only be able to field one full proto per game (and it'd still get killed by a random militia grenade). maybe enough that you can reliably pay off two or three advanced fits per game, and like 5 standards

No, it forces everyone to use lower tier gear normally so that when the adv/proto is brought out it feels worth it when used correctly. If you were here for last build we got to splash around in most of the top tier gear then and now they are just tweeking and adding.

As for the last bit honestly this is their testing phase so just go with it. I stopped whining about ambush after a few of it, so you can do the same with this new price list.

Watch your kills, you can see if your hurting someones wallet and it feels good.

uh, going from mostly advanced and proto gear to almost entirely militia with maybe one or two pieces of STANDARD gear isn't a good idea.

if people are going to respond to everything CCP does with "harden the **** up!" nothing is going to get done, and this game will crash and burn on launch

Actually we were supposed to be at 1x earnings down from 4x earnings, and CCP just changed their minds about income ratios.
Before I was earning 80-100k sp a game,
 now I earn 10-15k sp a game
So... its more like we went from 4x to 0.5x (1/10 of previous earning almost)... and same with the money due to receiving less and prices of objects all rising.

With respect, Ourors, that seems a somewhat selfish and short sighted perspective

We all tested the crap outta hi end gear and advanced skill point builds over the past couple of months

CCP undoubtedly has good reason for setting the reward and sp gains closer to actual levels. They want to ensure that the system is balanced and scales well during early phases of the game

You gotta ensure the whole thing works from noob to endgame, right?

Yes, it's frustrating to move down the ladder. Just think of it as if you are a poker player who lost his whole roll and you gotta start back at $1/2 after crushing the $10/20.

Budget, grind, fight your way back up that ladder

Testing what? The gear? We already did that. Hardly anything has changed in equipment functionality. Maybe CCP wants to test the economy and see how cost-effective purchases are now.

Personally I find the that CCP needs to increase the gaps on certain skill levels and up the modifiers for other skills. The rates in which we earn ISK, and skill points is fine though. If you have a complaint -- you should be looking at yourself, and what you are doing wrong, or maybe per say not doing at all. All-in-all the skill point acquisition is fine, and so is the ISK at the moment. The skill level gaps and multipliers need to be higher though, and/or modified/tweeked.

i do not trust them to balance this game well, i don't really trust them to fix things (almost all the bugs we're experiencing have been in the game for the past three builds now), so i'm not going to cut them any slack for things like this. all the slack was cut back in June

Thats what doubling some of our incomes would do; I just had my first 160 k match, I broke the 150 k barrier, thats a big deal. Right now I have 3 mil isk on hand 5 militia drop ship, 10 eryx, a pro snipe fit (only use when I can spawn in a safe area for sure), mostly militia fits and 3 meta 1 and 2 suits to do some work in. If you double my income I could run the pro snipe fit in less certain conditions(alot) and use the meta 1 and 2 stuff as trash to wreck face with.

Limiting people to mostly militia fits puts everyone on an even playing field to rise up from; Instead of smashing as much isk as we can together and seeing who wins.

I have yet to see a skirmish take the clock down to zero, some of the more cat and mouse ambush games, yes.

Skirmish is for making money, ambush is for bleeding it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 3% or 5% boost in the isk..... i haven't really figured out if there are loan sharks in eve but there is , but everyone seems to think that eve players will be able to give us oodles of money. I have heard that they will do it straight up or just give puff contracts inflated to make it possible.

I'm running some enhanced gear, and it has only cost me 4 million so far.

They have a skill booster....maybe there will be an isk booster

The reason for that is simple -- CCP had three objectives, added one more objective and then another for a total five objectives now. Making the game slightly faster, but also more chaotic. The upside to that are the rewards. More potential ISK and skill points acquirable per round. Though if I am correct the sum total of objectives may vary from map to map. Personally I am awaiting to see if we'll have a third game mode. Which I feel will be essential to the game. But I have already spoken loudly about game modes recently.

As for everything else.. I've spoken on that before. I'll just keep my mouth shut. Instead of beating a dead horse. Still the random terrain generator is a really nice and unforseen addition. It trully makes Dust514 stand out from among everyone else, and yet goes largely unmentioned. Sadly.

We were never on x4 ISK. They jacked up the prices while simultaneously lowering the rewards. Classic CCP double nerf.

Scratches head and reads again.....okay makes sense.

The terrain generator is nice, it works nice with my TV's simulated 3-d mode; after it finishes rendering.....hit detection actually improved slightly, throwing grenades was wild and I had slightly more of chance of knowing where it would land.

General FYI.... do not look into the sun in 3-d

Not sure where I saw it but am sure CCP did tell us in an old post that some of the isk you get afther a game is a portion of the isk spent in game. And last build every one where runing proto and uber tank fit. I have so far I gotten a steady but slow increase in isk per game so I do believe its true.
