slower firing weapons other than the sniper rifles are pretty much rendered useless in 1v1 scenarios. Increase the RoF or heavily increase the damage of breach weapons to compensate.
inb4 breach weapons are fine.
1v1 against somebody using a weapon with a higher RoF and you'll lose every time. |

That is my impression as well. The high RoF may do less damage than the low RoF weapon, but if the spread is thee same, the low RoF will lose more DPS to misses than the High RoF weapon.
If I understand the mechanics that is. |

When I made my first non-militia fit of this build I went with a Breach AR because I remembered people talking about the Creodron AR. I was even less effective with it than normal and ended up switching to the base AR. Good to know it's not just me being crazy. |

The high RoF may do less damage than the low RoF weapon, but if the spread is thee same, the low RoF will lose more DPS to misses than the High RoF weapon. If I understand the mechanics that is. you understand it wrong. each mode of movement has his own accuracy modifiry (widesns the crosshair => this is your weapon spread) and it stacks up with the value of the weapon. each weapon has a value that determines the weapon kick amount (the crosshair widens per shot) and after some time it refreshes slowly. low ROF means slower weapon kick stack up, actually the breach AR weapon kick resets between each shot because the ROF is low enough which means very high accuracy. on high ROF weapons the weapon kick stacks up till it spreads in every possible direction. |

where have i heard this before.........................................OH RIGHT BF3 when ppl QQ'd about the SCAR-H and it got nerfed to **** and now BF3 is all about RoF :(
Breach guns needed a slight nerf imho there were good at everything with only flaw being slow rof but CCP needs to fix hit detection 1st before we can really balance guns tbh |

First i only quit matches when i have the invalid bug, second i think I've only seen you once or twice between this build and last build, and third I've had to reset my ps3 five times today alone because of this game. |

But I tend to win most medium-long range encounters with my Tactical assault rifle. It's god awful in CQC tough, especially with the hit detection problems.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, I'm on vacation and haven't played video games in a week. If two assault rifles of any variant are shooting each other at the exact same time, with perfect aim, they should die at the same time. Am I right to think that is of good moral?

I've used the militia / 38 / Duvolle since I was in the beta. IMHO accurate high rof weapons are better in most games. The only problem previously was that the breach does more damage, but the ammo count was wrong. Clip lasted FAR longer than a normal rifle, and less bullets to kill someone means your ammo overall lasts longer.
The damage was fine. The ability to just keep on firing was the huge advantage (see Tamsen on MAG - high damage, low rof, big clip. Weapon of choice.) |

Yeah, that's the thing with the reg ARs............You blow your load all quick like, then you're runnin' around lookin for a Hive or Supply Depot.

connection more then gun versus scouts, thats why you have to lead them more then a dear when moving, a certain direction and adjust when they move another way because " what you see is not what they see ", so when they see bullets; you predicted their movement as if tyou were firing where they were at they will miss |

The claim is that Breach rifles are now rendered useless, when in fact, the way breach rifles were previously actually rendered all other rifles useless.
I still maintain that a team with a mix of breach and assault will massacre a team using all assault given equal skill simply due to it's ability to lay down sustained, accurate hip fire and finish the job other weapon's start while those weapons reload.

Breach slower rate of fire allows to adjust bullets easier on moving targets when at full auto or holding r1, so Ignatius has a point |

Also I hate to spill how ive been getting 10/1 kd. But...
Heavy suit. Sniper AV grenades. Melee boost.
Here's what you do. Get to depot. Drop spawn point then change into sniper with 1000 HP. If a scout comes up all cool you just knife him in one hit lol. Also pistol. You can really feel safe lining up shots with the huge buffer. Pit the armor repair resluppy near by to increase your armor tank by 10% per tick. |

No my last 4 matches I've started going 10 kills! Iswitch drop suits as much as possible make an armor rep and spawn point. If anyone gets close switch to logi defend with remote mines and brust AR. I've started using the combination of revive and remote repair to heal them up after I get them up. Works well to keep your sniper perch safe.
I'm getting better damn it :P

They still are, but not as good as they used to be. Good times...
On the topic, low RoF was the reason I stopped using breach AR and equipped Militia AR once again... It gave more chances not to lose in 1v1. |
