It was such a weird experience. No white lab coat or a way to overcharge, however.
Has anyone tested the effectiveness of this? I can imagine chain and multi tanking and even a long logistics chain repping the repper who reps the repper. All sorts of possibilities for shenanigans. |

The repair tool is not there for spider tanking because the amount of healed HP on dropsuits is just to low. When you really want to be into this then go for the logistic LAV Limbus. Heals heavy's allmost instantly. |

Gotcha, although the picture of a vehicle chasing a heavy to keep him up seems a little backwards, I'm sure they can have their uses.
Can you have 3-4 reppers on a single target? |

last night i saw i saw a 3 person chain. The guy at the front was shooting at guys while a logi reped the guy who was reping the shooter. It was actually really effective. He was able to keep shooting and hold them back for a while without having to get into cover. I dont know what happened to him cuz i got sniped by a railgun. When i got back he was gone. |

I love the tools now. people actually stay grouped now because of the cost of dying and I can actually justify carrying a six axis on my logibro and the 2.5 mil sp i put into the repair tool. |

Though it gets really interesting if you find your self a "bonanza" ie. a proto assault who likes jump around the corner thus losing enough armor and conveniently dying in cover each time for you to rack up some points.
Worst case are guys who don't seem to realise that you have run after them as they run off in to a hail of gun fire. |

Tuesday afternoon after I downloaded the update and got in-game -- I found that I was calling myself a Ghostbuster. Seriously enjoyed the new nanite affects to the repair tool. Glad CCP was listening when a few of us (myself included) mentioned about the black beam. This is so much better, and actually feels like it is working. Still I like calling myself a Ghostbuster when I am using it or see someone else using it. Makes sense to me -- "Who you gonna call?" -- am I right? Ha-ha. |

I roll around with a friend of mine that has a prototype one and stands on my tank and reps me. It reps 105 per sec if I can remember correctly. It's a life saver. |

for real. i did not even forsee that, we have never had an FPS on console where there is a death penalty like there is now forcing everyone to Band of Bros up, this is unprecedented, sorry to those fans of lone wolf games but enough is enough we have enough of those already.
this is like elements of World War II Online because in that PC MMOFPS you have resources that are not infinate

I've only got a pretty basic one. But running that with nanohive(r) does make for some fast healing. I've got the triage one, but I can see the vehicle one being awesome for putting out fires on Sag/Gunloggi. The real benefit of the infantry based one is the ability to hide, and fight back too. The LAV is really for saving HAV's, because you can hide behind their hitbox, thus saving you. |

Isnt it great? The scary thing is CCP had to come up with all this....like months ago, probs more.
This is the kind of stuff that is gonna make people go and then when they get passed their QQ and figure it out. Another game that is just a start match, pew pew, end match, repeat is a waste of space. |

Oddly Lurch, one of the things I love is that matches finish. You play. You win. You lose. Without that, even in a persistent world like planetside, I just don't get a sense of "competative gaming". Imagine how many of the 8000 ps2 people in a match will just be flying about in something, having nothing to do with the game really. They're blurring the lines. I think squad tactics will be hugely important. Repair tools will be a must have item, because hives run out now, especially when supplying heavies. I do want to say though, I didn't like the TF games. Not enough variation. Med&hev was the only way. Don't see this problem on Dust. |

Ya the new effects are amazing and I find myself running around repairing everything! From infantry to tanks, CRUs to supply depots, do this more then killing, will be sad to lose it after wipe but I think it will be one of the first things I level in. |

If someone try to fit remote armor repairing module to repair tank he losing tanking ability itself, it's pointless to waste so many sp just to die after first wave of proto SL. |

I agree that having the match end is a good thing lol, but if it could be due to one team beating the other in some function through attrition, capture of a base, or MMC docking, etc. it would be a lot better than simply having an arbitrary timer. This would allow some EPIC battles where each side is going nuts trying to win lol. |
