I decided to compile a list of all the bugs, oddities and suggestions I've came across this far in the new update. I'll change this post when more are found, or if the developers deliver a hot fix. Feel free to add more. I'll edit it in if more players share the same issues. The game has great potential, but it's got a long while to get there...
I tried to organize the bullets by group, and by priority (Suggestions) (Minor Bugs) (Bugs) (Major Bugs) (I wish I could color code this >_>)
DUST 514 Precursor 1.0
NEOCOM, Marketplace and UI
- NEOCOM reacts sluggish to player input and selections (Bug)
- The weapon wheel is not responsive to player input and selections. (Bug)
- A search filter located at the top left portion of the marketplace (Replacing the "Buy Aur" tab, placing that instead adjacent to the amount of Aur you currently stock) can make purchasing select items easier, or searching for goods which only match certain filter
criteria instead of navigating to the menu tabs each time. (Suggestion)
- Remap keyboard and mouse controls for the User Interface to utilize them, while retaining the default control scheme when interacting with the game world. (ex. Having a mouse pointer in the NEOCOM and marketplace to select tabs, not the direction keys) (Suggestion)
- Allow a "Quick Chat" message field to appear at the bottom of the far left corner of the screen while in-game when the user presses the LEFT D-PAD or T key, allowing users to type messages without navigating to the chat menu and pressing square. When accessed, a virtual keyboard will autmatically appear for DS3 users, while keyboard users can start typing automatically, sending their message to the selected channel. (Suggestion)
- Prices on the marketplace can be marginally reduced. (Suggestion)
- Replace icons for KB/M users when a recognized device is plugged into the PS3. (Suggestion)
Dropsuit Fitting
- Allow dropsuits to be invalid only if they lack nessecary components, or exceed the suits'power or CPU output. (Suggestion)
- Allow equipment to be restocked to a certain amount as in the previous build. (Suggestion)
- Being prompted to restock dropsuits to a certain amount only increases the available number you have, not following the prompt. (Bug)
- Exhausted equipment can not be restocked. (Bug)
- Prompt users to restock or adjust their dropsuit fittings when they are invalid during dropsuit selection.
It saves having to navigate to the NEOCOM. (Suggestion)
Mercenary Quarters/ War Room
- Increase movement speed in the MQ and War Room. (Suggestion)
- Improved third person animations for a third person camera. (Minor)
Battle
- Marginally faster movement speed for all classes (Suggestion)
- Red region visiblity on the mini-map. (Suggestion)
- Greater area range for using Nanite Injectors. (Suggestion)
- Player hitboxes need adjustment/ are inaccurate. (Suggestion)
- Ability to use vehicles with alternative, player set control schemes. (Suggestion)
- Allow the overview map to be navigated with the mouse as if it were the left analong stick on the DS3. (Suggestion)
- Left Clicking will send orders to your squad if you are squad order. (Suggestion)
- Greater mouse sensitivity for movement, rotation and aiming. (Suggestion)
- One can run infintely while holding Shift. (Bug)
Matchmaking
- If there is enough room in the server, allow users to join a battle with their contacts while they are in battle. (Suggestion)
- Allow users to create teams of up to 12/16 players with their contacts, automatically dividing the squads. (Suggestion)
- Better balancing for skilled and newer players which extend beyond the gear required. (K/D Ratio, Points, Days played, perhaps?) (Suggestion)
Sound
- An option to switch between the AI heard during battle. (Suggestion)
- A greater range of, and more auidble environmental sounds. (Suggestion)
Technical
- CCP intro video overlaps with the music in the title screen (Minor)
- Game frequently hangs or crashes after matchmaking during the intial loading screen, forcing exit through the XMB. (Major Bug)
- The Victory/Defeat Screen does not vanish for a prolonged period of time, or not at all, forcing exit through the XMB. (Major Bug)
- On the overview map, textures visibly flicker from the distance (Bug)
- Occasional artifacting on players using HAVs. (Bug)
