I would like a dynamic and unique battlefield, with terrian weather effects with a slightly destructable battlefield. I think this would make every battle unique even on the same map so battles dont become static.
Terrian effects like the diffrence in grip between asphalt and sand. Or mud bogging down vehicles and ice being slippery and snow being difficult to move in. I think that would add a interesting part of the battlefield and would make tank drivers do a double take before they go doing something that would be impossible and stupid in real live.
Planet effects things like gravity that affect jump and hang time, airpressure that affect range and accuarcy and tempeture that affecta overheating the diffrence doesnt have to be game changing but mildly noticable would be a pretty cool thing to have.
Bodies of water streams and rivers and for some matchs lakes and bays and seas. It could slow movement and bog down stupid tank drivers and creat a interesting obstical on the battlefield. For large maps small water craft should be added.
Weather effects, rain fog hail ect. And they should affect how far you see. if it rains it should change the terrians effects like turning dirt normally good griping surface into mud slowing things down steams and rivers could flood abit, hail and sleet would make the ground slipery ect ect.
Day and night, at night your vision ahould be limited but not complete gone(are suits ahould be able to see) and allow modules that improve their built in night vision. |

Im requesting effect not a map or a theme for a map I requesting that the maps we have now and their natrual effect influence the battlefield, which is why I posted here.

I was think very muted colors(lot of diffrent shades of grew not much contrast) because it stand to reason our dropsuit would have some form over built in night vision. But maybe give us a module for a sight slot that improves night vision evenn more. Along with some other vision types for combat in general |

In Tribes 2 on the PC we had maps that it was raining, some maps where there was the danger of lightning, and some maps where fiery meteors (fireballs fell from the skies.)
You knew really knew where lightning was going to strike and when, you could guess since certain spots seemed to have more activity than others, but you never really knew (until someone, or you, got hit by it by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.)
OT: we actually won a match that way one night, because the enemy flag capper was hotfooting it back to their base to even the score when the death message on chat window said "(Capper) stuck his finger in mother nature's light socket."

No mention of environment effects, I'm not expecting them in this build. I'm expecting the same terrain we've been playing with different textures and the installations to be placed randomly.
I'm really hoping for some different mountains and terrain to be mixed in, but not holding my breath.
I agree with your post by the way, I think destructible environments (at least concrete that chips, glass that cracks, grenades that leave little craters, etc would be great. It would be even greater if they could save the map's state on the server that repair over time. So you go to a map the first time, it's in great shape. You chip concrete and dent metal, etc, and then several hours later you find yourself playing the same map, it's clear there was a battle held previously. I doubt this would be easy to save all of this to the server though. |

The battlefield will be dynamic, based on the planet you're fighting on and stuff that people have installed/built there. |
