With the rumors of allowing keyboard and mouse compatibility, corps that have stringent recruiting policies that will **** the smaller corps, the introduction aurum, which isn't P2W but does unbalance the scales, and making the dropsuit customization system extremely complex to the average player coming from games like CoD or BF, this game seems to be anti-casual.
You can respond with bullsh*t like "Adapt or die", "Go back to CoD", "Unnecessary thread is unnecessary", "Kthnkxbai", etc. etc. etc. but you know it is true.
I wouldn't say it's anti casual, it just has more depth than other fps games and it takes time to get familiar with that. Concerning the dropsuit fittings, there's the default fittings to get you started and the customization becomes quite simple once you learn the basic concept behind it. As for the aurum items, that's open for debate, I haven't looked into it too much because, well, it's free to play in beta stage so I don't really see the point.
For the moment player corps are irrelevant since they won't be introduced to the game for quite a while and the game will start off with simple/NPC corps, so when they're introduced, you can just get a group of friends, all join the same NPC corp to begin with, as the game evolves and updates you'll have plenty of time to learn about corp dynamics. However there are player corps that are a bit more userfriendly and are willing to train and help you. Check out the general recruitment thread, just have a look and pick the one that seems to have the least amount of d*uchebags in it, I'd recommend ZionTCD.
Other than that you'll just have to learn to ignore the trolls, elitist pr*cks (videogame elite, what a joke) and people acting like they're more knowledgable about gamedesign than CCP just because they play a lot of games. Fortunately they're a minority. Unfortunately they stand out the most, you'll recognize them by their excessive use of all caps and endless repetition, they truly are the masters of copy and paste. |
