As all of you may know grenades are a nightmare to use, you have to push L2 hundred times to get the grenade off and usually by then you/I am dead. I love using grenades they are fantastic when they work properly, they are very effective against dropsuits and tanks alike. also i had some locus grenades which exploded on impact against dropsuits and were very very good however i cannot find them in the market place. i believe they were the grenades from buying the merc pack and was wondering if there was any way of getting them put back in the market place. |

The grenades still need some work.I think that most of the time that I throw them, they are duds and I don't see or hear them explode.
AV grenades are pointless against a tanked out Sagaris, and with the lack of decent splash damage,it's almost pure luck if you kill anything with them.
Another thing is that there really is no variety of grenades. There needs to be more.We need smoke, sticky,EMP,and I would absolutely love some caltrops.
Physics of the grenades need to be fixed as well.I have almost no idea how far that I'm going to throw them sometimes, and the arc is way too high. Also,if I'm pinned down, and need to throw one at the feet of an enemy that's close to me,I don't need it to bounce 20 ft away from where I've thrown it.There needs to be some sort of integration of the L2's sensitivity to determine how far you throw them. |

Not if the caltrops were either explosive, or had some kind of acidic spikes which could eat away at armor. |

This.
They are fun when they work, but too often will dud and you can't really control how far you will throw them.
BTW........the 'Hollow' EX-O AV grenades are just beastly against EVERYTHING. |

Good to know,I'll have to give those a try.
As for the replies about the caltrops,if you've ever played Brink, then you will understand how I'm thinking they should work.Basically,it's just a ball that pops open and spreads caltrop spikes all over the ground.they could injure people that walk over them, and damage the tires of an LAV.They aren't necessarily meant for killing, but more damaging and incapacitating.

I've noticed inconsistency with the grenade throws. They will implement new grenades in the future, but the unusual nature of them makes them pointless. they're a valuable resource that just sits in my inventory until I die. I've rarely seen grenade kills pop up on the screen: They're unpredictable. They need better control. |

Smoke grenades are needed. I hope so very much they are just not implemented. Honestly flash grenades are very fun when games make them work. (for the rooms like in biomass) The funniest thing in this game is the bounce grenades have. My brother jokes that Dust grenades are squares so they bounce differently every time.
I will say the proto AV grenades worked well. I would camp the crane and use those and a proto forge. If a tank would stay still I could take him out alone...not often. I think the proto AV's did 2300 damage. Connecting all three usually guaranteed a dead tank after a forge clip. |
