But a swipe every time we get a fix is terrible. I have a lot 25ish million. But if you are testing do you not need a majority of players experiencing and opening all kinds of skills ? Not just a grinding 5%? Then you can add the newer players who are slowing moving up...just to get wiped again when they finally get a comfortable fit? I know some who will straight dropout if they get wiped. I have also spent 25 million points and not one is in any vehicles. My next plan is to go into vehicles but if I am swiped that will not happen.
In short, if I am suppose to just play and test lag...wipe away

dont forget the part where if they left everything alone then whenever they released new skills all th guys that have high sp reserves could just get them off the bat which would just form a greater rift between the proto players and the new blood.

ccp's trying to keep it fair for newer players by doing the wipe because if you joined up like 2 updates down the road with no wipes youd have a snowballs chance in hell of being able to compete with the guys that are day 1 testers.

if i was able to have kept my stuff from before they let the guys join in with the E3 build id have full prototype and be rocking a proto sagaris with the other grinders.

but they didnt they wiped me so that i wouldnt be able to just start mowing down the newer players.

Gotta agree with you on that one Doc. Or at least the 2 mil ISK and SP we've earned from the last few beta events, as well as the dropsuits we earned from the earlier ones. Just something to start with.

I say wipe away let all the new blood start off with the vets. Give people who came in late catch up. Once full release happens and it is the final wipe those that didn't jump in at the start only have themselves to blame for being behind in sp.

I bet this will still happen upon release, and there will still be a lot of slots in the game that still say SOON

not a lot, but definitely there will be some.

This game will fail if everyone stays at a high level. People will play and get demolished from the get-go, delete DUST, and never consider the game again. This will happen eventually, sure, but it being that way off the start would be horrible. This game would have less players in a month or two than current MAG.
