From what I've gathered in the IRC Dev chat, its a 6 week cycle. 4 Weeks of Development, 1 Week of CCP QA, 1 week of Sony QA.
I love how everyone here seems to think they're an expert in the testing and QA protocol of Sony, and insists that this isn't faster than normal. Aside from the guy who actually worked at SOE, good work everyone, keep up you uniformed complaining! |

I always thought having a steady trickle of new content is better than giant releases, because everything is gradually added, and easier to balance than a giant injection of new stuff to try to balance with everything else at once. Thats what MAG did; changed a bunch of values at once, and then tried to figure out why it wasn't working, rather than individual buffs/ nerfs, or individual new items.
EVE gets 2 big packs of content every year, so once every 6 months. A 6 week cycle is exceptionally fast.
You can complain about the lack of speed when it comes to new content coming out, but consider this. Right now we get 4 weeks of development ever 6 weeks. If say they wanted to release a patch with 1 week of development, it would still take the one week of CCP testing and one week of Sony testing, meaning you would only get 1 week of development every 3 weeks. That's half as much content per week as the current development cycle. Sorry, but I'd rather be patient, wait a bit longer, and get more. |

Mostly I am just QQing against the need to have Sony QA it, I would rather that only CCP QA'd it and then pushed it out, but thats living in a perfect world I suppose.
Eh. I was in a bad mood from dying to a remote explosive that was thirty feet away... no joke.
Well you have to understand Sony doesn't want something to brick people's PS3, and honestly if I was Sony I'd want to check to make sure myself, so I can't blame them.
And yeah, REs are kinda annoying, but the upcoming fixes will be nice |
