This game is going to be heavily team based.. I think lone wolfs will get really frustrated grouping with randoms or corps you can't really trust to watch your back. Frustration leads to anger and the dark side.. and rage quitting out of matches and eventually leaving the game. Have fun though.. |

Ima paraphrase something from another post i made:
K/D is a very legitimate stat that holds a lot of weight in most shooters. In fact, its probably the only one that matters. This is because there is no other stat that a player can use to measure his or her worth with since the only objective is to kill the enemy.
Dust 514 is not one of those games.
While having a high K/D is nice, what really will win games in the EVE universe is MONEY.
Corporations operate on a much higher and more complex level than a few guys running and gunning and capping a few objectives. Yeah, corporations will want to have a few wrecking balls, but everyone on the team cant be a pitcher. You gotta have a couple infielders and outfielders too.
Regnum is one of those guys like PDIGGY where they dont care about the game mechanics and would have this game dumbed down to a level where this game wouldn't even be Dust anymore if they could. That or they are just on the forums to troll.
All i know is i dont take what they say seriously and if they keep spouting K/D crap ima have a fun time orbital striking them into oblivion. Let's see what their K/D is then.
For those who cant accept that the game is a little more complex than they are used to, there is always the gladiator arena. K/D does matter there and im more than willing to make some money on your leet skillz. |

LOL there is nothing complex about this game all you have to is AIM AND SHOOT, and what makes this game so different, to me, it looks like a dumber version of HALO 1 |

you have just proven your ignorance. If you arent capable of reading up a little and understanding that what we have in game right now is only about 10% of everything, then there is no helping you. Im tired of trying to explain things to people who makes comments like the above quote. |

yes. what does that have to do with lone wolfs? you think everyone is going to be running around lone wolfing it? it might be that way at launch, but the lucrative contracts will be heavily corp based like EVE. |

When I played War For Cybertron, i got more clan invites when I ran 1:7 or 0:5 or other terrible K/D scores in TDM than when I was getting 15:3 and 20:5 results.
As long as there's a niche for good support/medic/logistics players in the game, players with those scores WILL be able to ignore K/D.
But K/D still matters when you're running certain roles. |
