Another request i have is that only onself is able to sit in the pilot position of vehicles onself bought. It is a bit frustating that you cannot leave a tank to hack a control station beacause when you do so one of your teammates just takes your 230000 ISK tank and drives it into the enemy fire... |

No. You are the one who bought the tank, you either drive it or give it up. Now, I will agree with locking it when you initially spawn it, but if you get out of your tank it is your fault if someone takes it. I will even agree with making it a requirement that they have the skills required to get in the pilot seat, but again I say no to locking it.

Mmmh... when i think about it.... a lock for vehicles is really not the right way. And this will become more and more less interesting when team up methods will be possible. So you play with friends and then it doesnt matter who is the driver ;) |

Get a gunner like myself, that's what I'm here for so you can keep driving. When you spawn call out for gunners, they will come. Then, tell them to get out and you'll cover them to get A,B or C. If you want the points for the letter then take the risk, it's up to you.
If you die trying to get the letter and only you can drive the tank then your tank becomes useless. But, by keeping it open, if you die taking a letter I can at least drive your tank back to spawn and let you pilot again without having to pay for a new tank.
Good gunners are key and can save you a ton of ISK. |

I'm in favor of keeping the tank locked so long as you are nearby and alive but allowing it to be hacked by an enemy if it is empty (no driver, no gunners). I don't know about letting someone already in the tank switch to the drivers seat if you get out though. |
