Arpentis, Your are right on the militia vehicles being free for testing. I know they will not keep it like this, but its time to not make them free. We are at 400% ISK gained and prototype suits cost more then paper thin militia vehicles. I was just making a point about if the OP wanted to cry about something, she should not just pick something that there are tons of posts on and don't cry about it, Bring it to light and talk about it to get it fixed. With that point, this is how i know he is not a game tester.

Right now most of the complaints about balance are because (right) meta 1 guys are getting curb stomped by guys with top tier equipment. I get curbed stomped a lot mainly because Ive made it my personal mission to test all things logistics.

Thing is I'm happy to admit I'm not that great. Yet I still end up in at the top of the boards 4/5. You will be loving it when the CoD kids turn up.

Judging players in a game, A game is made to have fun. Every have freedom of speech, yes, But in the in, this is JUST a game. I have seen players in MANY of games use builds and specs that are not the best and still win in championships. Be for anyone takes my post to heart or get butt hurt over them, This is a game, CCP is making it for money, yes, But they do want to make a game players will enjoy. They have done this with EVE and took to heart all of the post we made about wanting more action.
I think CCP is wonderful and this is will I will test for them and try to give them as much feed back as I can.
In the end, This is a game tho... So don't get so upset over it.
The best thing I can tell anyone is, This is not a solo game, nor is EVE, It takes a lot of time and team work. CCP is trying to make solo play but jumping in and can play some games, but at the core, its about finding a corp and teamwork. So Tony Calif, I'm not worried about the COD kids, they will play dust for a a little and fizzle out. |

lol 1st off this game is going to be free. 2nd sounds some 1 refuses to use dropuplinks, 3rd then he complains when he gets dominated. Get out right now from this game and dont come back. Keep playing COD where you can spawn prefectly behind some 1 to get a kill. (aka revenge spawns). I like this game cause you need to be aible to use tactics and have skill. If you doesnt have both then this is not the game for you. |

1. It's a free to download and free to play game. Yes, microtransactions will be involved, but no one is gonna force you to buy anything.
2. If you know this is a beta, why don't you know that the spawn camping is part of the testing we are doing here? I'm pretty sure CCP will address that in the next build.
3. Speaking of builds, have you even done your research on DUST? Surely an experienced beta tester would know the very first rule of beta testing is "know the game you are testing". This game has undergone multiple iterations at this point and is soon due to receive another iteration this August that will have some of the changes many testers here requested to address some of the problems we encountered.
4. More features are soon to come. This implies that what you tested was just a fraction of what will actually be in the game.
5. Last, but not least, thank you for leaving. Obviously I'm calling B.S. on your claim that you are an experienced beta tester based on your post lack of knowledge of the game itself and how it will evolve over time. You will not be missed as we don't want ignorant players ruining the game.

I have never heard of ccp before dust 514. Don't take that the wrong way.
The fact of the matter is we need more testers that look at this game without the ccp fanboy sunglasses shading their eyes. Nothing is perfect, but when you love something it can often shade your eyes to how ****** the given situation is.
OP could have have given us a little bit more feedback being a tester and all. I imagine being trolled by 18 different people after posting once drove him away. Lets try and be more friendly in the future. |

The reason many people are irritated at the current build of the game is because Dust514 was originally slotted to LAUNCH in June 2012. We are behind schedule, and they still say it will launch this fall. I think that unless we see a DRASTIC improvement in the next build, it should be pushed back another year at the least (which also will make everyone mad).
Bad first impressions are not easy to overcome. |

^This is true Eve online is ccp's second game, dust to be the third.
The gameboard in question is baically an icelandic version of Life.
Also they recently bought white wolf. The people behind world of darkness which has inspired movies like underworld and if I am not mistaken vampire the masquerade is based on it as well. Also another game ccp is working on.

Just how much of a professional tester are you? I'm a member of a large Beta testing community who do games direct for EA, Paradox and the like to name but a few of the recent ones and this rant that you came up with is more akin to the types of rants you hear from the teenager testers who think the free beta tests prior to launch are real beta tests.
