Well said Sir. Could you post this in feedback though? I'm not someone who is paid to test but have similar opinions. Spawn camping was supposed to be fixed this build, being fixed again next build. Hit detection is getting better, but not fast enough.
I feel a little vindicated when a paid games tester is pointing out the same flaws. |

Says all that needs to be said about TJSeven.
Really, it's not like anyone gives a crap about CCP outside of EvE. Get over your fanboyism |

Fine. What do CCP make other than EvE that they are well known for Garret? Because a far as I know it's EvE. That's it. Just EvE. Maybe Dust one day. |

@Everyone saying "Ong op didn't know it's F2P" Realise that CCP want to make money out of this game. That means good game play to bring numbers to micro transaction.

Once again, the same fanboys making the same fanboy excuses. +1 op Really everyone's saying "people haven't read up on Dust" they shouldn't need to for basics like hit detection, spawn mechanics and general "fun" factor. |

I know waiting for the builds is important. However there's no clear consensus of what people want. We know they don't want CoD/BF/MAG, but unless people start agreeing on things like spawn camping it's never going to get fixed.
Perfect example is what Protoman pointed out in the previous build. Spawn camping was more common than this map due to fixed spawns in a comparatively small compound area. The general consensus of the EvE players was that it should be part of the game. That spawn camping was somehow a valid game mechanic which should be incorporated. Protoman "won" the last beta. He spawn killed religiously until there was a change of opinion. He probably still spawn camps and well done to him for constantly showing broken mechanics from people who just don't understand what top end players are capable of. More complaining means people can try stuff out. I for example will have maxed out HAV's with my 1mil bonus SP. My gunloggi's are already pretty indestructible except via Marauder. Currently I do think they are a bit OP, but that's mostly the map, an more importantly the small missiles (most OP weapon there is) I think part of the trouble is that this is their showcase E3 build. The gameplay went stale far too quickly, and us testers are left trying to avoid other testers landing on them the second they spawn, or get exploded by RE. @Dewie Thank you for reminding me we are supposed to be testing invincible tanks, RE spam, spawning, vehicle spam and all the other bizzle. And then leave feedback (in the feedback bit) and discuss the issues in general discussion. |

I agree, he should post in feedback, unless he wanted to discuss the issues until they are more clear (search function). However There are a large number of similar posts and threads. Where fun factor ect are highly subjective, it is very difficult to give constructive "make it like this" and easier to say "don't make it like that". It is made even harder when we might say something from another game (starhawk spawning, MAG medic, CS recoil) we are shouted down with "This is not mag, this is not cod"
You only have to look through these forums for 10 minutes I see it.
I've kept my feedback posts to a minimum myself because I can't suggest anything which hasn't already been suggested at the moment. Hit detection, lag and spawning are the 3 most important things to be worked on, and I believe the will be fixed. But I can't watch people seriously say a well fitted marauder isn't OP while they go 20-0 game after game. (they might be OP, but they shouldn't fix em yet. I suspect crater lake would be expensive for the average tanker these days) The "it's a beta" excuse is the same thing. |

Thing is I'm happy to admit I'm not that great. Yet I still end up in at the top of the boards 4/5. You will be loving it when the CoD kids turn up. This: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/04/29/dust-514-promises-to-be-a-game-changer-an-interview-with-ccp-games-ceo-hilmar-petersson is the only thing I believe with regards to Dust. Judging by our current build, and basic mechanics we're along way off. Do jog on. |
