Also keep in mind this game is being developed by CCP Shanghai, with a largely dev team who has never even heard of EVE Online and probably don't how CCP Iceland want it.
Probably explains a lot of the discrepancies on some of the design choices. |

Also, Cmdr_Wang, if the two new maps turn out to be Craterlake Communication and Craterlake Biomass you'd best let us know now. I know some people haven't seen them before, but calling them NEW* is bad PR.

Nice post. VERY helpful piece of a** licking.
In every thread with sincere grievances, anywhere really, not just here, there are someone like this one, coming out saying "see, no problem, what are you all yelling for?" after the issue has been addressed.
And I'm certain you are wrong.

Actually I much prefer the EVE Microtransaction policy at the moment.
All Aurum items in EVE are purely cosmetic. There are no bonus to stats, no bonuses to fitting requirements. Don't affect the core gameplay AT ALL
I'm all for charging Aurum for things like SP boosters, but things like weapons with better stats (fitting requirements), I'm still on the fence about.
Also these Aurum policies would have no doubt come from CCP Iceland.
I was more refering to gameplay choices such as small cramped maps, the Ambush game mode, the centralised market, each race not having their own line of suits with their own weapons traits, down to more trivial things, like the MCC being tiny and move incredibly slow. |

Oh, there is a debate that is far from over yet. I'm waiting for the August built and perhaps the September one (assuming they have one every 2 months) before raising that stink.
Some of the items may not have that much better stats, though I'm opposed to any bonuses there, however some of the gold items have massive savings on CPU and Power requirements, making them far more powerful than any non-EVE player can possibly imagine. Some EVE players would pay billions of ISK for a module giving him a 10% saving on CPU or Power, some of these gold items have a nearly 50% saving.

The lack of racial suits are merely for testing I think. There will definitely be full range if I remember correctly. |

It was Tweeted that racial symetry may not be done in time for launch but soon after. This may also be in reference to the equipment as the question was for facilities only at the time. |

Ehrm. If I understand it right, it is ALL PSN Store servers that ate down for maintenance.
Ahhh, you are correct sir, thanks. weird that i can still sync trophies with friends, which i thought was one of the things you wouldn't be able to do, but yeah, i can't get into the store like i thought i could. thanks for setting me straight. |

You have no idea what you are talking about. Please STFU.
Also, GM Grave, I wish you hadn't responded. You have only validated the kind of BS self important childish posting that is making this forum unreadable and this game nearly unplayable. |

Dewie Cheecham wrote:Where is the logic in blatantly lying to your testers. You depend on us to help you make a better game, we've been running the same map for a month now, and it shows by rapidly dwindling participation. Trust me, 90% of the players left are NOT representative of the actual players that you need to test for. Then you promise us something new to get us back in the game, testing it for you, and it turns out that the promise is just an empty shell. A LIE. Then it turns out that some of the information were given on an unrelated source, that birdbrained site. Twits I think it's called. Appropriate name. That is another matter, but do remember that it is best for us testers, who are doing YOU a favour, that we have the information collected in one place. In this case, these forums. Don't make us have hunt down your messages all over the internet. All in all, YOU have NOTHING to gain by pissing off your players, or didn't you learn from JITA the last time? Lying to us to get us excited about testing again, is NOT the answer. If you don't have anything NEW, DON'T tell us you do! It is that simple. Now. get back on your high horse, and either give us what you promised, or tell us directly that you are not going to. GIVE US CLEAR ANSWERS, NOT LIES. That is all I am asking for. Edit: I were asked for proof. here it is: Read the dev posts: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=216929#post216929CCP Frame wrote:#3 Posted: 2012.07.25 06:47 Update #2: We will introduce 3 new maps to the map pool after Thursday's downtime, on July 26th, 11:30 GMT.

Do you really truly have any idea on what your talking about? ITS A BETA I REPEAT BETA its an FPSMMO this isnt your COD or your BF3 or HALO do you really belive EVE is ever finished? its CONSTANTLY expanding and its been going on a long time and please clarify how its ambitous and how its been in this "Cycle" loger then other fps because clearly this isnt your average fps. |

OP, because of entitled people like you is that most games gag their developers and players cant get anything from them.
CCP is different in that regard, and they talk to us, sometimes its just ramblings but it does give us insight oif whats going on.
They said there would be more maps. We got one.
Deal with it.
Someone screwed up, someone did not deployed something, the package went to Sony for QA.
Theres nothing they can do before the next package goes thru Sony QA. So wait until August deploy.
They own you nothing, this is a beta test and is our privilege to be here.
Again, HTFU. |
