I was waiting to get into the beta, (got in early last build as cobalt lavitz, you can find my posts under Veteran_Cobalt Lavitz) and when I did I ran out to gamestop and bought a ps3! I was excited, I had been waiting forever, (atleast since 09' fanfest announcement) to get into the beta, and now I was in.
And it was good, I am having lots of fun, although I recognize and have reported and discussed several issues, spent time trolling the forums (Finally out of that, hid and reported the offending posters), and generally having a blast on the weekends.
There are still glaring issues, many of which are fixed next build. So far, this build is far better than last build, where I would crash every two and a half matches and have to hard reboot my ps3!
So far, worth the money to me. :)

I can't be the only person who thought this was going to be some guy complaining that the game sucks. |

As for the question, no, I've had mine since the beginning, but knowing what I do about EVE and now DUST, I definitely would have if I didn't already have one. |

1st off Welcome to the PS3 community, despite what some of the minority do we are a somewhat mature-ish community most times :P
2ndly kudos on buying a PS3 for DUST....should add more pressure on CCP to make sure this game turns out well, me personally i would never buy a console because of ONE game, just not a wise investment for me but hey if DUST turns out to exceed ur expectations or at least match it prob wont need another game
hoping it at least matches mine, tired of having to swap games every few months because of either boredom or game dyin out |

yeah i bought my PS3 just because the made the merc pack, i havnt been dissapointed so far, i have also ended up buying a bunch of other games afterwards though :P

I bought a PS3 just for dust514. Got mine Monday afternoon. Unfortunately I don't have an HD TV, so it's impossible for me to read any of the instructions, or stats and descriptions on any of the gear or jumpsuits. So it's basically impossible for me to fit a dropsuit properly at the moment. Looking at refurbished 19inch HD tv's for about 70bucks online. Have confirmation from other mercs that the text is easily readable on an HD TV of that size, although you have to sit pretty close to the screen. |

When I heard that going to Playstation Home during E3 could get you into the BETA, I went out and bought a PS3 just for the chance.
So Yea, I did buy a PS3 just to play in the beta.
Now I am burned out and waiting for the next build to land while I play Eve on my computer. |

Dude its cool. The only HD screen in my house is for my ps3. Its a 19inch Vizio and I love it although it is kinda small but so is my room. Just make sure u change ur display settings ON THE PS3. stupid me played over a year on MAG in standard format before I realized i wasnt on high def. I even had bought the HDMI cables. Pretty dumb huh. Anyways enjoy. |

I also bought my PS3 only for DUST (and an Eagleeye-Adapter after i realized that gamepads are s*hit  ), and yes, i like it

Bluray was a nice bonus (and being able to finally finish the MGS series). |
