Sorry if this has been discussed before.
On voice last weekend someone asked "are we attacking or defending".
Someone else said: check yourself. The first person indicated that they had their drop suit fitting list up so their first spawn would be faster.
I've tried that and it does seem to be faster. I don't know what caching is being done but this seems like something that should be done in a thread by the client prior to match launch. |

It takes forever to load though before you can even select a fitting. |

What he's saying, (I've tested and can confirm it works) is that if you open up the fitting menu while waiting for a match to start on the War Barge, you will be able to select your fitting significantly faster at the start of the game.
The fitting data has to be loaded for you to be able to spawn, and if you haven't opened it on the war barge, you have to wait for it to load at the start of the match. If you have a lot of different fittings, this can take 10-15 seconds.
Before someone told me about this, I wondered why half my team was already popping up on the field while I was just getting to the dropsuit selection menu.
It makes a pretty huge difference for the initial missile installation fight in skirmish. |

Nice trick indeed. Let's hope the loading times will drastically improve and even 10+ fittings will download from DUST servers within a second not 10 :) |

I was wondering how everyone was able to initially spawn before me! Thanks yo. But yeah, they should probably code it in to cache the fittings just before loading the battlegrid. |
