Sounded more like "pay to keep dying" actually.
If you pull out your best gear before you know what you're facing, EXPECT TO LOSE IT. If your best gear is worth more than you can earn, and you decided to charge into battle with it, well, that was stupid of you, wasn't it?
Don't bring what you can't afford to lose.
It worked for EVE, it works for DUST, and I roll mostly in Militia gear because I suck. I've tried a few runs in different Advanced and Prototype suits, but I don't get enough benefit from that gear to make it sustainable. |

I for one sometimes get killed quite a bit, there Ive said it. although my KDR is 2.1 at the minute and Im only rocking T1 assault armour (close to caldari level 4 sp requirements now) mainly because i dont get much time to play so only have about 3.5mil sp in total.
hang on, does that mean my reasonable stats are a result of skill over kit?? with a fit cost of about 15K Im reaping the cash whilst dying.

I'm pretty sure my K/D is sitting around 0.35 or so.
I don't worry about running out of money, though, because when I bring my expensive gear, I bring it because I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT WORTHWHILE.
If the gear is going to cost more than I can earn on the mission, I don't load it up. That would be stupid. If it's nearly the end of the mission, and my team's losing but it's close enough that I can turn the tide, I MIGHT bring an expensive loadout and I MIGHT even be willing to pick a dangerous fight while wearing it if the odds are good enough for the suicide handing us victory.
I've managed to stock up over 6 million ISK so far because I'm careful with my money.
I NEVER spawn at the beginning of a match with ANY gear that isn't a Blueprint. If I'm going to have to pay for replacements, it's left behind for the first spawn. No matter what. |
