Maybe its just me but has anyone noticed that rockets fired from dropships tend to rarely go where you fire them? I'm totally ok with having to lead the target to conpensate for the movement of the ship, that makes perfect sense to me, but more often then not the rocket doesn't hit anywhere near my intended target. Sometimes it doesnt even appear to come out of the launcher; and other times the rocket seems to just disappear into thin air. Anybody have the same issue? |

The pilot and gunner have to be working together for it to be effective. I personally like the way it is now, if people could be accurate with the missile launchers while the pilot is flying around quickly then it'd be too effective imo. The missiles have such good damage and splash that when a pilot is flying for his gunner it's... hell. |

I was q-syncing with alliance mates over Ventrilo(computer voice chat) today and when I got in the same squad as one of them, we communicated over Vent as I was flying a dropship and he was gunning.
Easily got 25-30 kills for him. |

Doesn't sound like an issue with the rockets off the launcher, but with your lag. The same thing happens to me when my internet slows and I start to lag out a bit. It's hard to tell it's lag while in a dropship but the fact that a missile doesn't even appear (and then when it does it goes severly off target I presume?) could be lag. |

Maybe its just me but whenever I hop into a gunner seat I do pretty well at hitting targets its not just about leading the target. the ship doesn't just go forward and back so u can't just lead, the ship also rocks to and fro moves side to side and up and down u have to take all these things into consideration wen u are aiming. To get the hang of it shoot at an object even wen u don't have a target to shoot at something the size of a dropsuit like a Crane or a rock or just a dip in the ground. |

Sorry i didn't mean to say i wasn't getting kills while gunning on a dropship, i was just saying that the missiles seem to disappear and/or not explode about 35% of the time |

you have basically to wait until the pilot is standing still or moving really slow otherwise your rockets will miss alot of times. The downside of this is while the pilot is doing that you are a easy target for heavy's with their forge guns. Thats the reason why you cant have a default dropship fo going on fire support. You need a dropship that can take around 2 forgegun hits then the pilot should start moving or every 1 will die a quick death if they cant drop out in time. |

it's fine. the only thing that needs fixing for dropships/missiles is a new map that doesn't invite such heavy missile sniping. |

I've found the same thing in tank rocket turrets although I'm not using them that often I'll admit. Not so much disappearing rockets, although I'm sure there have been a few that didn't seem to register a hit anywhere, but I've certainly seen plenty of rockets launched with a few degrees of variation from the point of the cross-hairs, and that's when firing from stationary or nearly so.
I can still get kills with it like that but it does make the rockets more of an AOE weapon some of the time rather than an aimed one. It's hard to tell if it's a bug or intentional. It could be skill related, which might make the most sense actually. |

How about not infinite ammo. Or at the very least introduce reloading. 6 shots per reload. |
