There should be, on the forums, a small section where there are 2 thumbs. These are there so that when a gm or Dev reads your post and does not seem the need to comment they can still pass good judgement on the idea by saying yea! or No from the thumbs up and down. |

Nice idea. I like it, but I don't think it'll be put in. It'd take too much work on the Devs' part though. There are over 3,000 threads in the feedback section alone. I can't imagine going through every page and reading each thread to it's end just to give it a thumbs up.

they do actually read a lot of the threads. I would like it if there was simply a notification saying that a dev had visited the thread, judgement would be nice too though. |

I can see what you are trying to do, but no. This would actually make things bit worse overall as we and CCP would lose the current back and forth discussions. For your suggestion to work, CCP would have to have someone reply to almost every single thread. As soon as one of the Devs / GMs gave a thumb to something without explaining what it was for, people would start trying to figure out what had earned that thumb rather than trying to figure out what new / re-worded idea to post about next. Within a few days you would start to see fewer of the post types that had earned a thumb down and more like the one that received the thumb up, which means we would get fewer and fewer new ideas and less and less debate about the idea on their own merrits.

^ so dont have a thumb up/down button, just have a ticker to show how much dev/gm attention a thread is gathering. It's really hard to tell what ideas are being listened to, and what ideas are being put on the back burner |
