Is this why it was taken away? Or do I have to pay to play this closed beta? I got my key through IGN's signup giveaway. Is this why?

But they want me to download 4 GB of data again? lol It seems to me this is rather ludicrous. All that extra data having to be transmitted again and again. I'm just saying they could have beta key insertion at this screen too. Rather then having me delete it. The download 4GB of data again. This is totally inefficient. I guess I will see everyone when the game opens.

I guess I will see everyone when the game opens. i do not believe you have to redownload it. any key you get now i believe is weekend events only. any key you get from home will not be all access. currently the game is up and running. if you buy the merc pack you can play now, and not have to redownload anything.

Your account would only be linked to the beta key. They can revoke the beta key access at any time, so that they don't have to make a whole new client. The times anyone can play are global - if the servers are up, anyone with access can play. It's not like EVE players can play when IGN players can't.

Do they think every one has unlimited data plans? Not to mention the wear and tear on your PS3 just downloading the client.

Those who do not have a full access pass will have to get a new one each week. Those who have a full access pass do not have to get a new pass. Getting the merc pack will give you a full access pass, but playing on slay will cause you to have to get a new pass each week I'm assuming. Hope this helps.
